is BF2BC 2 worth it?

This game is loads of fun. The first couple of levels are painful as your gun sucks. Start leveling medic and pick up other people's kits.

It only takes 2 or 3 nights to unlock enough to give you a fighting chance :)

Server browser is pants, but that's my only complaint.
 
WTF is Bloom?:eek:

connect to a 51 ping server, hit TAB and no-one is under 135 ping WTF is all that about

apart from that and the joystick not working its quite enjoyable if I could work out how to get hardcore only servers with low pings
 
Yes, but dont expect the longevity of BF2. Infact i've already gone back to other games on the whole.
 
the only annoying thing is people with Noob tubes, when you first start you will constantly get killed by the 40mn Grenade, iv'e been playing for a week unlocked all the medics upgrade weapons. Recon, which is the sniper is quite hard, however once you got the motar upgrade your laughing, this game is very realistic with the anti camp, even when your a sniper, in some levels. the only thing that lacks is the knife. once you get stabbed your dead which is abit OTT, you can empty nearly a whole mag at someone only for them just to knife you.

one thing you will notice is the maps, quite smaller than the BF2 series, however i think that once the game is nicely settled, i wouldn't be surprised if DICE release some nice big maps with ticket ratio a lot higher, ARICA HARBOR is my favourite Conquest Map.
 
It's a good game although I wish there was more truely urban maps like the absolute beast that is Panama Canal. Love that map...
 
Have had this for a few weeks now and although I've not put in as many hours as some here I have enjoyed the time spent on the OcUK servers where there is team play - other times you do still get people still going off on their own!

The worst thing is spawning in on someone only to find they're s sniper way way back from the front-line - can avoid that judging by map position though so it's not a constant issue.

Only gripe is as others have said the disconnects - sometimes I can have a great long game or three and other times I'll be kicked fairly soon after joining :/
