is BF2BC 2 worth it?

3.no (took me a while to figure that one out:P turns out you dont really need it. you can shoot fine from the hip, standing and crouching. going prone made a big difference in bf2 but this is different.

Reminds me of my BF2 days :D. I hope they sort out the joystick issues soon.
 
Multiplayer is amazing, although SP i found quite boring.

Desctructible enviroments are simply amazing.
Someone hides in a building? blow a hole through the wall and pew pew.
 
Only buy it for the multiplayer, single player isn't worth it.

Game is fantastic, only troubles I have are a few bugs with joining servers, etc but even with those i'm playing it most nights.
 
Awsome single player. Once the FOV was changed from 55 to 95 (1920*1200), it really came alive. The autoshot gun at the end was awsome....ripped the plane seats to (*^$.

Now for the multiplayer!
 
how would this game run on a E2180 @ 3.3 4 gig ram and ATI 4850 overclocked?

it used to play CODMW2 without any issues is the gfx engine a lot more advanced?

cause my system spec is the only thing me putting off buying it!

Runs like a dream....max settings x16 x4 24" res. 2x4890's Q9550 @ 3.6. How mate has a similar card ..he turned shadows down a little. Engine runs like a dream considering how good it looks.
 
BC2 is a fun game but it's basically an arcade fps that doesn't have the depth or probably the longevity a true 'Battlefield' game. The destructable scenery is a nice touch with most maps designed well but you'll still yearn for Battlefield 3 !!
 
I'm finding it hard to get into but I'm going to stick with it for a while. Initial weapons just feel weak, I was playing Assault last night with the “heavy assault rifle” and I was shooting people four maybe five times. No kill. Got a few kills as Sniper but the shooting people and them not dying just feels too arcadey.

try a hardcore server, its the only way to play!
 
Yeah hardcore is the only thing i can play. Its a great game esp with the added realism. Really does make MW2 online look like the poop it really is
 
Playing this with a friend of mine who is a big battlefield fan and played BF2 in pro leagues for some years. We both really love the game but he thinks it needs more maps.

You never get bored of the destructable enviroments, the battlefield is shaped differently every time and hiding behind one piece of cover for the whole map isn't possible because it just gets blown away.
It's also nice when you bring buildings crumbling down on top of snipers hidden inside.

I havn't had any issues with lag, if I make decent shots and shoot in bursts I don't feel like im being cheated if they dont die it's simply because i havn't aimed well enough or whatever. It's also very rewarding if you do take your time with your aim. The enemy's don't go down as quick as MW2(unless you play hardcore mode) but they don't take hundreds of bullets either. It feels right to me.


2 more maps are coming for free at the end of the month and I would expect a patch at the same time to iron out some of the bugs. the fact that so many people are playing the game now with the bugs and connection problems proves how people are willing to put up with them just to play some more, it is very addictive ;)

well for 25 quids you can go to the pub and buy lunch and two pints...or you can go to the cinema watch a movie and buy a large popcorn and drink. Both of which would cost about the same and would last 2hrs tops probably...and you wouldnt think twice about spending the money.
BC2 I have already played about 60hrs..lol...so I recon ive got my value for money.
The question really to ask..is it good?
Yes...its good like said already. Could be beter with a few more infantry based conquest maps..but thats only my opinion.

Good game IF you get into it early enough. Id say for newer players it will be a pain in the ass with the amount of higher ranked players toting far better weapons (m60 anyone?).
 
I might make a new solider just to see how hard it actually is, I've spawned a few times with the default assault kit by accident and done just fine with a few mates around me on vent.

All it requires is squad play and a small amount of game sense.

Remember - In a sniper hot spot? Just heard a .50 round fly past your ear? Duck and weave people, duck and weave!
