is BF2BC 2 worth it?

Its a good game. It should be a great game but the sheer unbalance and absolutely terrible gameplay decisions in many areas kinda stop it from being as good as it should be. Still, enjoyable.
 
Yeah, get it. Great game, good graphics, brilliant destructible environments and amazing sound. It's got me into MP again after a long time, shame about the number of snipers though.
 
Even after just playing the beta I can tell you it's worth £25. Or £30, or even silly Xbox prices. IMO it's the best multiplayer FPS game out there by a good margin. All the little things other games may do individually well, come together to form a really immersive experience. The sound is also exceptionally good.
 
Great game, definitely worth it, best online FPS I've played since Quake 3. There are some downsides though - some weapons/gadgets are very unbalanced, crashing to desktop, dodgy friends list/server browser, whiners from CoD etc.
 
2 mates bought it and I was sceptical about it, I caved, got it on Steam and copied the game files from them so I could play right away and it's a great laugh.

I have been looking for a nice eye candy, good sounding, good playing, not TOO bounce around Quake and not TOO sim-like and this seems to fit the bill nicely :)

Glad someone else picked up on the audio. In the maps with large hills and mountains, when you fire your weapon, after the initial *bang* you hear an echo coming off the hills.

The game is full of small details like this - you can see the gun slides actually recoil in third person and even have small puffs of fire and smoke caused by ignited powder coming from the weapon catridge ejector ports.

The single player game has been enjoyable and the multiplayer is..well...Battlefield :D Being in a building and realising that the building is about to collapse and run like hell is fun!

Really good game, has brought me back to the BF series and random online fps server gameplay.

Although there a long list still existing why it sometimes annoys me, including the fact most servers have PB off because it doesn't work so well yet, so cheaters are a prevalent threat. Best thing you can do is if you're deadly sure someone is cheating, switch to their team, watch them mow people down through layers of trees, flicking about targets like a mad-mad, TK em till they leave!

Then you have the problem you have in any game, spawn camping, or people who can't fly to save their lives shoot your helo down because "I WANT A GO".
 
Starcraft and Starcraft: Brood Wars - single player campaign is ossum, and the online community is still there too :)
 
This game is sick, so addicted to rush mode. Even thought I'm crap at the game, never really play any of the previous bf games before but I don't have to worry about aimbot or any other hacking like mw2
 
awesome game. rush mode is the only mode that makes much sense in my eyes. conquest just gives you that feeling of people spawning everywhere which is just naff, whereas rush can feel like an epic war.
but yeah get it.
its more arcadey then a true battlefield, but much better then cod.
also people whining about snipers are either playing on hc or dont stick to cover
 
good, will order it this week £10 more from the shops. COD4 & 5 were completed in a day each and MP was a bit crap. do you get the same kind of rewards, unlocks and commander play as BF2?
 
yea you get rewards and wepon an d gadget unlocks like bf2, get some vechial upgrade packs also - also the chopper doesnt seem to dominate the game like in bf2 - ow and there are no jets :)
 
Love the sound when you shoot someone in the head *Pinggg* right through the helmet.

Also bullets whizzing past actually makes me duck lol.
