Is blackops worth it??

If it;s not a patch on either of the previous games why buy it?

Why not just get one of the better previous games?
That's not what the OP was asking. He was asking if Black Ops was worth buying, and I said that I thought it was, given how much enjoyment I've had with it.

If, however, anuraj was asking if there were any games that were better than Black Ops, that are worth buying, I would not hesitate to recommend Modern Warfare or Modern Warfare 2.

Wait a few months an then get it hopefully by that time they will have fixed it. As it stands now its broken.

Hopefully Battlefield 3 will totally wipe black ops off the face of this planet so much so that people won't even remember it. My brother played it and he seemed to have low opinion on this game.

It's not just about the game itself, it's also about the people that play it.

If you get past the stutters, and the lag, and the disconnections you're met with people jumping, diving, noobtubing, rocket launchering and camping everywhere, in every game, it starts to get really old really fast when as soon as someone see's you, they jump in the air like they're trying to take off, before belly flopping to the floor like a gigantic faggot and spraying a clip at you.

If by some chance you actually are good and you get past these morons you're then met with faggot admins who boot you because you killed them more than 3 times, it's happened to me 5 times now, getting booted from servers, which also gets ****ing boring.

I have played a couple of hours of the single player campaign and have to say I am very dissapointed. Also, is it just me or does this game actually look worse than MW2?

I haven't played MW2 for a few years however I remember it being much more impressive than this.

I played it round a friends and it was bad we turned it off and went to watch daytime TV

Wow, you went from hearing it was bad to having played it in a matter of minutes. Maybe try playing it and making your own mind up.

Obviously whether its better than MoH is a matter of taste but I'd say black ops is worth the money. Post patch Ive had a great time with it, the Wager matches are cracking and one in the chamber is one of the most fun mp fps concepts Ive come across in a long time.

I've already got MOH and MW2 I like to play thesingleplayer atleast once on every game I buy I'm actually starting medal of honor for th 2nd time (I enjoyed it's singleplayer). I've got a friend who has got the game but he plays on ps3, I'm the only pc gamer in my school. Everyone else finds pc gaming to hard to do. Kind of proves that I'm better than them.

few years eh??:p

If you played MW2 and cod4, BO is definitely average on MP and weaker on SP imho

So many little things wrong with BO that could be polished up or tweaked to make it on par with MW2 but they just fail.

The mp can be wtf frustrating too as nealy all the maps are just too small for 18 people..... some are as just ridiculous.. 18 players on nuketown, a small 2-4player map is just stupid.

A lot of people saying "no" and yet:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-11743689

Call of Duty: Black Ops generated more than $360m (£223m) on the first day it was on sale, publisher Activision says.

In the UK, first day sales of £58m made it the all-formats record holder, says research firm Gfk/Chart-Track.

The previous record holder for first day sales was the Black Ops predecessor Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 sold 1.23 million units in the UK on its first day in November 2009, says Gfk, but Black Ops racked up 14% more. Revenues generated by sales of Black Ops were 22% higher.

My only and immediate response is this.
