Is Borderlands 2 still worth playing?

It's ok I did beat him, just found it a bit of a challenge compared to what came before! Just at sanctuary now with loads of quests to look into!

ironically he's one of the tougher bosses precisely because you have no special skills to play to when you first meet him, second time round its much easier once your character has developed and you have tactics that suit your character.

protip: definately do dr zed's quests in sanctuary, there's a miniboss who's tough as hell but once you beat him you'll thank me.

ok, finally decided, my favourite quote from bl2:
"I probably shoulda set you up with a sponsor beforehand but I am ******' DISORGANIZED AS **** and was busy suplexing a shark wearing a bolo tie when I should have been setting up sponsors. You may ask, "Who was wearing the bolo tie, you or the shark?" Answer: YES."

I finally completed The Pre-Sequel last night. I think it gets third in the overall billing but it was mostly enjoyable nonetheless. I loved the mission with Toby Van Adobe. Highlight of the entire trilogy. :D

I played it a bit at launch, but didn't finish it. On occasion I see people say how they have poured 100's of hours in to it and still play it etc so I'm wondering if I should retry it.

I do like loot style games.

What's the draw to it? Is there like an end game loot grind then or do folks just replay the main story over and over?

I went back to play Borderlands about a year ago after barely touching it on release and yeah it's an okay game that I enjoyed.

Thread bump

This was patched the other day

Remastered 4K environment textures, including geometry and skyboxes
Remastered 4K characters and vehicles
Remastered 4K weapon meshes and textures
Improved Anti-Aliasing, including improved edge line implementation
This includes improved ink line definition and framing/outline around character models
Higher Resolution Dynamic Shadows
Improved quality and smoothness of shadows, especially during movement
Improved Screen Space Ambient Occlusion
An improved SSAO method for more realistic ambient lighting

According to Steam achievements, I had last played it in October 2012!

Anyway I installed it a day before the new 4K textures, and went in to the game to have a quick look. Installed the new UHD textures last night and it does look considerably better now.

It's still cartoony. It just looks a bit less fuzzy now.

Pretty sure I played as the gunzerker last time, but started a new game with Axton.

Any tips? I'm level 7 at the moment.

If you have not played the game before, god yes! Try and get together 3 others to join you and welcome to hours of fun!

It's the Neogenator which Zed's creation Spycho drops.

Oh! I think I've only done that quest once. Wasn't aware of any special drops at the time. Thanks.

That reminds me. I still haven't explored the Seraph items in the DLCs yet! There's still so many things I've not done in BL2/TPS.
