Analysing the last few years, we've had 3-4 years of solid corporate news coverage pertaining to "Russia hacked the 2016 election" and "Russia colluded with Trump to win the 2016 election", it all turned out to be bunk according to the Mueller report and Putin must have fell asleep this time but now those same people who believe(d) it are convinced that the 2020 election was totally secure despite lots of anomalies, massive use of mail-in ballots that most countries agree are insecure, question marks over the use of private voting systems and procedural failures like not allowing poll watchers to be present during ballot counting. They're calling it a conspiracy theory just to question anything relating to the 2020 election.

I was wondering do we have a generation of people incapable of independent thought who just take whatever the mainstream (corporate media) position happens to be on everything and who dismiss any other possibility? could it be gullibility to authority figures or just laziness? if you just take whatever position fed to you all of the time you never have to think for yourself and at the same time it's become easy (due to the social media mob mentality) to dismiss any other position as "uneducated" which feeds into the narcissism that seems to be quite rampant on social media.

How can you flip from 3 years of believing an election was hacked by a foreign power to just suddenly believing that the most recent election went absolutely perfectly and not even wanting to question it? calling anyone who does a conspiracy theorist? and for that matter how can the corporate news media?

I take everything with a shaker of salt these days, All the news outlets are ran by left wing cartels. Mostly the same media groups i guess they are buying up all the smaller outlets as well. Anyone noticed the death roll of right wing news in the UK?

Daily Mail running anti Trump stories, Daily Express was bought or the editor changed and also running anti Trump articles. They are trying to corner and control the flow of information. This with the Facebook, Twitter and Youtube purges only really leaves one side with a massive audience and that is the left wing. It is really sad give it 50 years everything will be left wing, Anti free speech and cancel culture will reign supreme. You will not be able to find any other source of information. You will not be allowed to say anything because they are talking about debating laws on misinformation to compliment section 75. Who defines what misinformation is?

I call this the Oriental Express, Next stop will be the China system.

Or.......................Trump is literally just awful.

What you are all seeing is not some bizarre grand media conspiracy. It is just journalists reporting on a man who is clearly ridiculous and awful.

There seems to be a lot of people who lack for independent thinking and scarily lack self-awareness as with self-awareness you can always improve. But that doesn't meant the flip side has merit - independent thought for the sake of independent thought, without application of reason and willingness to reflect and refine one's opinion is just as concerning.

By then everyone will be RFID implanted anyway.

If you compare Google search results with DuckDuckGo search results it can be like chalk and cheese. It really shows you how Google filter the internet.

He isn't wrong in respect to, and it goes for both/all sides, increasingly these days there are attempts to police people's thinking and to warp normality towards a cause, etc. attempts to discredit or silence people with different opinion even when it is based on something objective. Sometimes with good intentions but misguided none the less.

That isn't to say I think free speech means you can just say anything or everything.

You are lapping up everything they tell you, A perfect example of being brainwashed.

@Lysander

No! This is not true it is your reality dysfunction/mental illness. That is how these people actually think the media has already made up thier minds and implanted an opinion in thier minds and now they are unable to back away from it.

Wrong before you even got to the end of the first sentence. That a new record for you?

It really isn't. An opinion of how ridiculous Trump is can be garnered by simply reading through his own twitter feed or listening to him make a speech.

You are really down the rabbit hole if you think there is some crazy massive worldwide media conspiracy run by left wing cartels.

Imagine the amount of people that would have to be in on that, and the sheer immense organisation to keep it all under wraps? If you had any experience of human history and human nature, you would know that this would be impossible.

The alternative to this bonkers conspiracy theory, is that Trump is just simply ****. Which objectively, is true.

For instance I'm all for having a laugh at Trump and have a very low opinion of him and there needs to be a stand against him but at the same time I don't see that licensing some of what is going on where people invent all kinds of stuff - there was a trend for a bit of articles banging on about how Trump has absolutely zero sense of humour, absolutely never as a president making a joke (comparison against Obama) and completely and absolutely incapable of having a laugh at himself - sure the guy has almost no sense of humour and pretty much no sense of self-awareness but it doesn't take 2 seconds on YouTube to find him making jokes and a couple of times having a laugh at his own expense even if it is a rarity.

(Though Trump making a joke is like watching a car crash).

This is already happening with the internet though. It will take time, but they'll do it. You just need one megacorporation with enough reach and manpower.

They really dont, thats just your inherent biasedness/conspiracy loon thinking.

How can they not? Constant feminist, misandric articles on their website and woke supporting of leftie causes etc. If you can't see it, it's because they've veiled it successfully.

But to dislike Trump, does not mean you are brainwashed (as you say you dislike him yourself) so presumably you think Rofflay is talking **** with that comment?

Objectively he is simply an awful human being and president. I don't need to read any opinion about him to come to that conclusion.
