Is it time to get a Macbook?

Hmm, been keeping an eye on this thread and the comments - I'm very close to switching.
Only one PC game I still play, and at the moment I'm thinking of packing in PC gaming and just get a macbook and use my 360 more often, as im tired of spending endless amounts of money on new hardware etc and driver issues galore!

Can you just plug a macbook into a normal pc monitor via vga/dvi ?

The macbook has mini dvi - so you can - but you need to purchase an adapter which is of course 'sold seperately'!

I use my macbook with my widescreen dell and it works a treat - but I'm sure someone will be along with a more indepth answer for you!

I'm myself, only quite new to the mac world - but i can tell you that I'm loving it.. X360 for gaming and mac for pleasurable computing... its only a shame that I have to use my work laptop for work... grr (which I should be doing now!)

This is exactly why I am moving over, I'm forever buying bit's here and there and then I just don't use it enough (madness I know) ..........

I'm going to try and keep hold of my Dell 24" and shift the rest..

So you don't use the Dell 24"?

I have a Dell GX280 P4 1gb ram tucked away somewhere so I'm going to throw my 500gb Sata drive into that and then that will become my file server I think...

Cheers mate - this seems to be quite a common response :D
Seems I need to find someone to sell my rig to!

I'm not sure how Macbooks cope with them, but Apple are starting to partner with major games companies such as EA Games. In a previous keynote, Steve Jobs stated that they were looking to largely improve the selection of games available for the Mac platform. For example, Need For Speed Carbon has recently been released for the Mac, although the MAC games tend to be quite pricey

Its always the way! I managed to pawn the my dell off on my dad which was quite lucky - a couple of hundred quid plus an iphone when my contract expires! :)

Good luck!! I don't have the required number of posts - but a few people i know in the 'real' world say the nembers market is a good place!

If you purchase a Mac that comes with Tiger then call Apple and you can get a copy of Leopard for £9.95 :)
