It was meant to be something about the voltage was set to high on the very early pioneer 436xde plasmas's....

I myself have a May2006 pioneer 436xde and i had no problems at all yet with screen retention or screen burn on mine..
And i have used my 436xde for gaming for many hours at a time with my xbox360 and still had no problems...
