Is Plex still a thing?

Gone back to Docker for now, hitting this bug and couldn't fathom out where to get 2.0.1 from.

EDIT - never mind, found 2.0.1, will stick with that for a bit.

Are any of you using Plex with an IPTV service? I'm currently using it with Hdhomerun and it's working brilliantly as I'm basically just looking for a Freeview service that I can set recordings and stream/download to remote devices. One frustration I'm experiencing is the lack of HD content available over the terrestrial aerial service. I'm thinking there might be a way to link Plex to IPTV and record the HD Freeview stuff?

Yes, I use HD Homerun as well. You can hook Plex up to IPTV, but you need to use something like xteve since Plex removed the ability to use the IPTV plugin.

Is that something you do yourself? I'm asking as I'm unsure which IPTV service is available that would be cost effective.

You'd think Plex would corner this as it's the natural extension to their free to view ad funded channels, which aren't too bad really but I can't record them which is the main function I want. Maybe my case is too niche as most people probably stream. :)

No, it's too much of a faff to map all the channels. I tend to use VLC for those sorts of IPTV streams. If it's Freeview, then I'll watch via whatever app on IPTV.

The main reason I use the HD Homerun is when abroad, because iPlayer etc has geo restrictions.

Yea, I'm similar in that I work offshore and it's just easier to download onto my tablet for watching. Plus, I'm enjoying the tinkering aspect so I'll see if I can get a service working and if so then I'll post back with details just in case anyone wants something similar in future.
