Zen + IPC is between Haswell / Devils Canyon and Skylake / Coffeelake.

A 4.2Ghz 2700 is about equal to a 4.5Ghz i7 6900K

While im on a 3700x now my 2700x was a fair bit faster than my **** poor 5820k, I'm sure I had the worse 5820k in the world, badly uneven HS, could barely do 4.2ghz 1.325v

My 4690K was like that, would do more than 4.5Ghz without silly volts.

yer when the Silicon Lottery numbers for Ryzen 3000 came out I looked up there data for 5820k my chip was far below the "100% capable" level lol.

I tend to get bad to average chips. Apart from one My Opertron 185, I got the best of the bunch even for the good stepping, got 3.05ghz out of that chip :) good days
