Is this a reason to RMA?

Purgatory, i do remember you telling me to rma it but on those threads people did say that my card may actually be ok so i didnt. After seeing that i am going to do two final tests and then use my 8800 gtx. Ill have to wait until tomorrow for ocuk to get back to me but im sure that they will tell me to rma it

why a long warranty bothers you when you talk like you upgrade every few months anyway I have no idea.. :|

As if your EVGA water cooled job is going to be still running in your computer in 3yrs time (let alone 10 years) hehe.

Long warranties are great for those that upgrade once every 5-10 yrs and are not overclockers.
No idea why you would be going for a long warranty tho. (unless you like having parts covered that are stored up in your loft)

Priorities!

Dont care about length of warranty. Its more the cooler removal bit i like and also that upgrade scheme they now have. Also it is a pretty good selling point to have a long warranty and an evga card.

Yeah, RMA.

FYI you have 7 days to return it from date of delivery to be entitled to a refund under DSR regulations (even if it's not faulty but then you have to pay for postage back to them).

However you wont have any issues with OCUK customer service.

Worth trying another card as they are good value, even better if you get a 6950 and just flash it to a 6970!

Every single card i have had has broken atleast once so warranty is really important to me

That's definitely a sign that something isn't right!! Were you using the same motherboard or PSU for all of these failed cards, or was the only common factor in all the failures.... you?

I've never had a graphics card fail on me (yet) but I do know defective products do come off the production line sometimes. If yours is running that hot at idle and your case, PSU and motherboard can run another card at normal temperatures then there's no question - stop using the card NOW and RMA it.

Asus p6x58de
Tjo7
Silverstone 1kw psu
2 wd caviar black hdd
I7 930
Corsair 6gb ddr3

My8800 gtx had heat issues in the standard dell case and dell repkaces it twice. It works fine on my current system. 5850 might have been my fault as i think i did something. It was my first card for my first system. This card is truly ****** i have also got scythe cpu cooler and fans in my case. This is the only card ive had such hogh temps with.

its faulty..

or u have no fans in your case

ohh dear god don't give him hope with the no fans idea loool.... Even with no fans it wouldn't hit them temps..

I think he's trying to do this...
