I recently got a job at a hotel

The contract did NOT have any hourly pay rate written on it(i have white copy)

I was under the influence that i would be on 5.35 because everyone who works the same job is on that

So after a week of work i get my payslip and it says 3.30 an hour O.o

Complained, they said they would sort it out and still not been sorted

Aaaaaand they have just taken an hour off because of some break bs - I havn't took one break in the months ive been there >_<

So, im thinking of going down with the white copy and demanding my money

Well, thoughts?

Lots of love

What are the current rates of the national minimum wage?
There are three levels of minimum wage, and the rates from 1st October 2006 are:

£5.35 per hour for workers aged 22 years and older
A development rate of £4.45 per hour for workers aged 18-21 inclusive
£3.30 per hour for all workers under the age of 18, who are no longer of compulsory school age.

So unless your over 18 im afraid your stuck with £3.30p/h!

I left with the contract without pay rate on it because the manager said he needed to check up on some tax bs

If its like my job, i'm salaried to do 37 hours a week with half an hour for lunch. (This works out to be 7.5 hours mon - thurs and 7 on a friday).

when i put my overtime forms in, i have to add half an hour on top, because PAY section automatically dock an hour for lunch.

maybe this is a similar thing for you?

there is a lot of varibles to take into account such as expireance and how much longer the other poeple have been working there.
