Is Warhammer Online better than WoW?

Back on topic. @Margaret How can you comment on something thats not even out? It would be like me commenting on Mines of Moria with no concrete evidence.

Buying a game should not be based upon something that may happen in the addon. I'd personally get a trial for both games and then choose. I do prefer WAR but thats a personal opinion. The fact that to get WoW as well will require you to buy the game and all the addons and then another addon would personally put me off. It's also a very old engine now so if you want the latest, next gen graphics and effects you aren't going to get them.

As for chris's comments about smoothness it should be known, because of the aformentioned engine, that WoW will run better than WAR on aging plaforms. However it should also be noted that WoW doesn't look anywhere as nice as WAR. IMHO LoTRO is the best looking MMO out there at the moment however the gameplay isn't as good as WAR's. I'd suggest that WAR was a very happy middle ground in terms of great looking graphics and superb gameplay.

What a pathetic War fanboy you are. He simply said he preferes WoWs combat and just because he did not give you a 4 pharagraph reason you have a go at his English...Grow up.
 
best way i can put this, is warhammer is far better with pvp. granted ive not done high level pvp yet but the stuff ive done has been more enjoyable than what ive done with wow.
again ive not had the chance to do the high level pve stuff in warhammer, if there is any.
wow will surely beat warhammer with pve stuff as its what its done best for years, and has a lot of time to mature that side of things.

if you enjoy pve and hate pvp then stick with wow, but if youre after a better pvp experience then try warhammer :)
 
nothing will come close to wow ever. mmo's will be good in different ways but i dont think anything will top what wow has become

Anyway, I played WoW from beta. Have played on and off since release, though during TBC I only played very casually. WoW is a great game but I feel it has had it's day.

I'm currently enjoying WAR... it's not groundbreaking a such, nor do I consider it to be 'amazing' or similar (it certainly doesn't have that UO feeling), but it is very good fun - Fun being a word that Blizzard has seemily erased from their vocabulary and replaced with the word 'grind'.

Just my thoughts.

Just because I prefer one over the over I'm a fanboy. So everyone who has ever expressed a gaming interest for one game over another is a fanboy?

I was actually, if you ever bothered to even read my post, having a go at the lack of argument. As somone else stated in this thread 'lol' and 'lmao' seem to be perfectly acceptably arguments yet anyone challenging this is a fanboy. If you are not putting in constructive points in your posts I don't know you bother. There should be a little pop-up message which states something along the lines of 'are you really sure you want to appear 5 years old to everyone on the internet'.

Come back with some decent arguments and we can have a discussion over it rather than the same old rubbish that plagues these forums.

So true...And to all you people complaining that people are not giving valid reasons, why did nobody ask this guy to explain in more detail..

I prefere WAR personally, it's incredibly early days though - but I love the fact that Mythic are really listening to the players.

You're left with a sense that Mythic want to fix bugs and make friends, but with WoW you feel like a number and Blizzard are just after your money.

It's real early days though.

I will tell you why, because he said he preferes Warhammer. You are fanboys to Warhammer, simple as. When somebody slags of Warhammer it really gets to you, and i can only think that is because the truth hurts.
