Would you, off your own back, and knowing it wouldn't affect your job in any way, spend time with them away from work? Because I know I wouldn't.

Never met my boss in person but he seems pretty cool, he was very quick to help me when I was stranded in Germany.

Wouldn't call him a friend as such but I respect him.

I regularly spend out of work time with OcUK staff, through there own choice.

Depends what you mean by boss.

My line manager, once in a blue moon yes. Not got anything against him, just he can be a bit much. Nothing to do with him being my line manager though.

My area manager, no. Don't speak at all outside of work and only infrequently bump into eachother there. Not that I've got anything against the bloke, but it would probably be really weird.

My boss was one o f my ushers at my wedding. Just depends on what youR boss is like surely? If he's a good guy then don't let him been your boss stop you from been mates!

my old boss was cool, invited everyone in the office to BBQs at his place etc. My current boss, no, but then I only see him 2-3 times a month.

Guess it depends on the boss, but I wouldn't have anything against it.

My manager? Sure. They are loads older than me, but all friendly enough and can definitely have a laugh.

My supervisor? Sure, she's a lot, lot older than me (She's older than my nan) but shes such a laugh, and I'm not dare I say no to her! - I guess I have a good relationship with my bosses?

The store manager I could not care for, lay dying or not, as for my line manager, we talk friendly and giggle here and there but soon as my shift is over, ttfn

My GM yes, he's cool regularly watch oxford utd with him and his free tickets :D

Good banter about footie but thats as far as it goes. Rest of the managers are *****.

Our area manager is funny, but lives in wales so too far away plus he's a bit of a jobs worth.

I still pop around my ex-bosses house regularly. He lives near me and we always have a chat and a laugh about how things are going and stuff.

Edit: This is my supervisor/boss not the manager/director.

Depends, I have three whom I report to. Then again, I wouldn't regard any 3 of them as friends.

Pointless post me thinks.

not in my current line of work, but noramaly i wouldnt have any issue with doing so.
as long as you both know when to draw the line, then whats wrong with it.

Go out and get drunk with my manager once a month or so, he's actually a nice guy and we have a pretty good working relationship too. Couldn't work somewhere where I didn't get on with my boss.
