Turkish government in a mess, taking on 2 enemies at once, US involved, no clear plan (buffer zone? Troops on ground? How long?).....should be fun.

Two enemies at once?

Turkey are in effect acting as the Islamic state air force. They have probably done 1-2 air strikes on IS as token gestures and rest have been against the Kurds.

It would not surprise me one bit it they planted the bomb a few weeks ago themselves, so they could start military action. After all it was mostly Kurds killed.

So it's a mess? Exactly like I was suggesting?

i dunno i think a fair few in the west support the kurds more than the arabs

Indeed. The Kurds are the largest population on earth disenfranchised from having their own sovereign state. They are also not fanatical belligerent muslims for the most part. They just want a place to call home.

Haven't read the article yet but I'm placing my bet on a 10 year drawn out extradition/court battle. Shoulder pads better get her dates right this time ;)

I've been saying this for a while now.

The problem of ISIS needs to be dealt with by the Arabic nations not the West.

The US and the EU dealing with this only gives them the ammunition they need to fuel their propaganda machine.

---

What a HUGE problem this is. This is not just a terrorist group. This is an entire region and a religion we are up against. I don't mean Islam in general, but this Fundamentalist branch of Islam.

In their eyes they are literally carrying out the will of god. That's some powerful stuff.

---

Even if we did break up ISIS and the land they occupy went back to Iraq and Syria, they would still operate in terrorist cells...

that wouldn't work either they don't all get on because their Muslims and they don't all interpret the quran the same way? there's different teachings?

The fundamentalist branch of Islam?

All Muslims that follow their book would want a caliphate state.

It might be all peaceful now because Muslims are still a minority in the UK. As they become bigger in numbers there will be more and more demands.

Bad form by the US there. Yes they may have had that information but ffs for the sake of the family just don't let it out.

They don't need to prove to anyone these Muslims are savage degenerates; the beheading kind of gives that away.
