Don't assume the woman wearing a burka shouting "Allahu Akbar" whilst holding the severed head of a child is a Muslim. It's Islamophobic.

That's also the default BBC position on every story like this:

[/] burka
[/] shouting "Allahu Akbar", "I hate democracy" and "It's all the fault of the West"
[/] attention seeking
[/] decapitation
[/] something horrific

BBC news - person still only ever referred to as a male/female, because reporting anything else is islamaphobic.

Good grief the establishment staffed bbc lie to advance UK bs foreign policy, if I didn't know it was true I'd say that fellow was wrong.

:( Shocking. Maybe now Russia will stop its support of Islamic State and actually start bombing it.

Not that they were supporting it in the first place, but perhaps they'll invest in tackling mental health issues while they're at it

they haven't supported ISIS at all, they've supported the government armed forces.

we' have however been supporting random rebels who half the time seem to ally or merge with ISIS.

ISIS is mainly armed with American and British weapons and gear.

Russia has taken the pragmatic approached, picked the most capable united side with an existing coherent command structure and gone "right we're backing you to win the war and crush all the other groups"

where as we've picked a bunch of infighting disparate group an gone "we'll kinda help some times but not all the times and hopefully you'll all kinda work together like an after school special in-between bouts of random genocide."

Indeed, that pretty much sums it up.

Nato commander: Isis ‘spreading like cancer’ among refugees

Refugees from the Middle East and north Africa are “masking the movement” of terrorists and criminals, Nato’s top commander told Congress on Tuesday, despite the protests of human rights groups who say that refugees overwhelmingly have no ulterior motive but escape.

In testimony to the Senate armed services committee, US general Philip Breedlove said that the Islamic State terror group is “spreading like a cancer” among refugees. The group’s members are “taking advantage of paths of least resistance, threatening European nations and our own”, he added.

Who would have thought that letting hundreds of thousands of unidentifiable people stroll from ISIS held areas into Europe might cause an issue!

It seems Turkey are up to their old tricks by providing artillery support for ISIS in Tel Abyad against the YPG and allowing ISIS to pass through to attack from behind as well.

I think Assad should preempt turkey and nato by awarding the Syrian Kurds their piece of Syria as an independent kurd homelnd, as a reward for their tremendous help in defeating the soddy arabian proxies.

Which leads to the absurd situation where Iraqi Kurds are regardly as "friendly" and given support and weapons by the West whereas the kurds a few miles down the road over an invisible line in the sand drawn by the West marks them as Syrian kurds and a proscribed terrorist group by Turkey and hence the West.

Almost everything Turkey (secretly) does conflicts with our interests, they wouldn't even be in NATO except they happen to be in a strategic location and America sucks up to them. Yet every country that borders Turkey has been victim to its historical oppression at some point, so they are not well liked. As a partner in anything they are pretty useless.

It's obvious that they've only been acting on their own interests, yet it is inevitable that our monumentally naive next generation of voters will admit them into Europe.

Wow that airstrikes on Hama video ouch. Doesn't seem to be any of the ones on youtube think its a new one uploaded today but can't link to the site.

Turkey seems to be raring to go - its probably only because Saudi Arabia are less inclined to take direct action that things haven't kicked off majorly - I suspect its is largely political intended to deflect attention from social/economic/leadership issues rather than something most of the Turkish population support.

Has turkey used up all the oil now then :)

Wow that's hardly been mentioned despite being right on my doorstep. I did wonder who the perpetrator was.

I also wondered - it was all over the national news when it happened, talking about tensions being high in the community, police appealing for calm etc. Then nothing apart from in the local press. I wonder why.
