ISIL, ISIS, Daesh discussion thread.

Gets nothing done in reality? In what context are we talking here? I mean, considering you're in real terms wealthier than the majority of people on the planet, I think it has got something done in reality. Or do you think your standard of living would have been better had you been born in Syria?

We are wealthy due to protectionism, and history... being a democracy doesn't mean much in that regard.

We need to federalize to an actual federal state (I want a hard two-tier citizenship, harsh penalties for disobedience and required military service on some level), i see no other future frankly.

.

Cant really argue against that part.

I think democracy is just the best system we can think of. Granted there are better versions of it.

Assad is the far far better option than the islamists terrorists

life is far better for the people the only people who are complaining are Sunni Wahhabis and most of those are imported into the country they are not even from Syria and are fighting for religious beliefs.

From government held areas

Try showing me free life in say Idlib.

Also those saying about the siege of Aleppo Why were you not commenting when the roles were reversed and there were around 10 government pockets getting slaughters by the islamists?

Also many areas have laid down their weapons 400 new ones in Darra yesterday as part of an amnesty.

Sven256... You've just won this thread about Assad.

A lot of people will be very annoyed now. Remembers post #5719.

Now any time the people moan about Russia helping Assad we can direct them to this post to show what the Russians and Assad are fighting for. :D

That is a bit deceptive though - sure life is (relatively) good for those who agree with Assad but it isn't so rosy for those that don't whether they are bad people or not. (Though even there its much more complicated than just that).

Didn't IS used to show similar pictures of a few people having a laugh in an old luxury hotel before presumably the US bombed it?

Yes, life is good for those in North Korea too. Those who are born into the lucky position of benefiting from living there. As for the millions who are starving.....

I think you're a fantasist. Have you ever visited the middle east? Iraq? Syria?

As for military service... No thanks, don't want them!!

Then what do you propose for the millions of people in the UK and indeed Europe who will never get a job, continue to disenfranchise themselves into hatred of their state and cause a ruckus?

Eh?

They are just pictures i have taken from the Restraunts facebook accounts, from a couple of days ago

There are 100s more places as well if you want me to post those, they are not regime propaganda they are just normal photos the say as any company would post on their facebook page.

Why will they never get a job? What has that got to do with becoming a federation? Would that suddenly create a bunch of jobs, or enable people to go and get those existing jobs?

Shock! As major cosmopolitan has a cosmopolitan lifestyle. Like any major city, you will get moderates and extremes of all ilk. I can find photos of terrible stuff going on in Damascus. So what?

People are wandering around headless and without any acknowledgment of a future, service to a federation is a viable solution.

You seem to have misread my questions...

We will never know but as far as pics go. Remember we were pally with Assad not too long ago and again I urge people to watch Gadafis prophetic speech to the Arab League in 08/09. He is turning out to be 100% correct.

Didn't IS used to show similar pictures of a few people having a laugh in an old luxury hotel before presumably the US bombed it?

US planes? I thought BBC said it was Russian planes?

In North Korea, its better to comply than die :(

Woah! Sven keeps on winning :D

Some people on here don't like seeing or believing things that go against what the media tell them to think... #5719 and #5726... Awesome stuff

But try and find nice thing happening in terrorist held territories.

Good luck.

The women will be lock away. Walking 3 steps behind a male, when allowed out and wearing full burka.

They have zero interest in developing anything, only seemingly violence and conquering.

Oh and shelling civilian areas. I found it comical that the terrorist in parts of Aleppo city shelled the Kurdish Sheikh Maqsoud for months then complained when the Kurds decided to take the youth complex as through they had betrayed them..

And even as i type this the terrorists are detonating tunnel bombs in Aleppo city quite a few of them i believe.

Im not denying the terrorist held places aren't bad. However, it's not a case of there are places held by the government and then everywhere else is terrorist held. Some villages have been cleared out and held by ISIL, yet a few miles down the road there will be another village, under no such 'ownership' with people just going about their daily lives normally.

You're also incorrect on the women locked up or walking behind a man. In raqqah itself, women walk freely on their own. I'll give you the burka assumption, that part is true.
