ISIL, ISIS, Daesh discussion thread.

He said 'every Asian lad' in his school. If he said a few maybe I'd believe him. But 'every Asian lad' having a 'picture of Bin Laden in their yearbook'? Not even the Daily Mail would come out with such grandiose and ridiculous accusations.

.

Believe what you like then. Just because your view doesn't match what was my reality doesn't mean your view takes precedence over the situation.

To Poole, no I wasn't scared lol was actually very indifferent to it as were all my friends. We even had a lad in our click who carried a pic around.

Race attacks did go up in the city and I know a lot was egged on by older brothers and cousins. The point being we know the reality and its not our job to have others minds and eyes opened to a possibility that what we say may just be true even if the agenda of the others view is to deny deny deny.

That is probably an incorrect assumption. Whilst Stoke on Trent at the time may have had a 3.2% Muslim population they were not (and indeed are still not) spread out evenly across the town. They are concentrated in certain areas.

Absolutely.
A quick screen grab of the Muslim area of Normacot/Lightwood and circled is Longton High that has now been levelled. All the Muslim kids went to that school and they were the majority.
In Mrs SexyGreyFox's day (1970 to 1975) she went to Longton High and they had two black brothers the Franklins.
I also did my 11 plus there and they had Chips for dinner whiuch I had never seen in a school and also Arctic roll - they were posh back in 1968.

Well they've been bombing them for months so they will intensify it for a short while, then back to square one.

In the middle of a rebel offensive it got shot down..

And it's most likely they died from the crash/fire.

It will be over rather quickly if Russia starts using FOABs though, extraordinary chunks of cities disappearing.

They're apparently there to "help" the government, if they destroy cities will just make Assad more of a war criminal along with putin.

World watching by as the Syrian people get slaughtered, then they wonder why there is no moderate rebels.

Yep, we can thank russia and china for this (and other external forces, like hezbollah and iran), should have enforced a no fly zone 5yrs ago.

I see a Russian helicopter returning to Russia after delivering aid has been shot down, the soldiers stripped of their uniforms and jumped and danced on by rebels.

Putin said last week that any attack on Russia or Russian people and he would bomb every Muslim in Syria.

Putin really said he would bomb every Muslim in Syria. Is that true or did the BBC tell you it was?

Ah, yet more allowance for Putin to use cluster bombs, 'tis indeed interesting times.

The US uses them, the US sells them to "nice headchoppers" in the region and they are used with impunity.

War criminal... I cant help but think of Blair and Bush and not Assad and Putin.

Well Russia certainly kept very quiet about its humanitarian efforts until something happened!

Or is it a little bit of red propaganda?

Russia has been doing humanitarian work for quite some time now. Since at least Palmyra. The BBC and western news don't publish it because it goes against their agenda.

Where is it that you get your information from?

Anywhere but the BBC.

Yeah, but you were saying 'BBC and western news' but I am ignorant when it comes to non-western news outlets and their reliability. RT and Al Jazeera seem pretty partisan, even when what they report is true.

Well RT are in my view and experience more open with the facts. I seem to recall having a quick scan about the Russian jet incident between the BBC and RT. Before the "latest updates" on the BBC they weren't quite telling what happened as fully and honestly as was/should be apparent to a so called respected broadcaster.

I'm going off memory here but the basics were BBC were reporting that the Russians deliberately went through airspace and were repeatedly asked to leave and the consequence was them being shot down. RT was reporting similar but with added information that shows there was no need to shoot the sukhoi down. We know the plane was in Turkish airspace for less than 20seconds. And if what the Turkish said (as was reported on the BBC at the time) they must have had some very fast talking radar operators to say what was said.

The biggest and most flagrant disregard was that when hit the plane was out of Turkish airspace.

If you think assad is not a war criminal then you're deliberately trolling or a sick sob who should be transported to Syria to see the horrors.
