As long as everyone 100% trusts the politician we have put in charge then that's fine.
For the record, I am opposed to these Western attacks on Syria, regardless of their legality.
Is it acceptable for the UK government to extrajudicially murder, by drone strike, it's own citizens who take up the cause of an enemy when they pose no direct threat to the government or the people of the UK?
Last night the world witnessed how despite the multiple warnings of retaliation and escalation which could lead to a third world war, the calls for a non-politicized investigation to be allowed to take place before any "punishment", the US, France and UK recklessly endangered the security of the world by going ahead and using force on a sovereign country, and acted like ISIS air force. It was not the first time. But it was the first time since Cuba when the world was on the brink of a third world war and they did it anyway. What happened has the same significance as if Khrushchev had gone ahead with installing nukes on Cuba. Call it what you want, the mantle of morality, the mantle of civilization... but the mantle well and truly changed hands last night. Only the spiritually numb did not feel it. No apologies for calling Russia the more responsible side now.
Furthermore, all these childish games; that seek to normalize war by focusing attention on a particular rule allegedly being broken, when all sorts of rules are broken in every war, and so the only solution is to not have war, or to end war, quickly; only proves how insignificant ordinary people are to those in power, who care not about how they devastate countries and prolong wars in which bad things will happen, as history proves time and time again. Who even care not about kicking off world war three if it means it's the only way to bully. From the very beginning, the west has sought to prolong the war in Syria, using head-chopping heart-eating terrorist scum to force a situation of regime change, even as they lie about not seeking regime change.
Moreover, people are well and truly sleepwalking into a relationship where the government is increasing demands to be trusted just on their word at breakneck speed. Acting like life's lessons, like Blair and Iraq WMD, and that politicians tend to lie not tell the truth, which even a child knows, are to be ignored. Be dumb, ignore lessons, don't question. Have faith in us. Welcome to Oceania.
Do you honestly expect an answer? What do you think of the 1500 killed in the past 6 weeks by Russia & Syria, mainly civilians? That's fine, yeah?

Or the US strikes landed outside of Russian/Syrian intercept zones. Or some missiles got through.
Well that is now indubitably true in that:
1) alleged chemical attacks were I) not substantiated II) not investigated and III) war has been launched in the absence of an investigation as per I and II
2) Evidence seems to highlight the staging of chemical attacks, that Russia stated last month were being planned
Absolutely disgraceful behavior. When ISIS or its sister organizations are chopping heads off Christians, you will be happy at that wont you. At least we know where you stand. Like the UK, US and France you are now supporting ISIS... Bravo!
Evidence? Oh that's right you have Theresa May saying this so lap it up.
We will stop Assad from killing his own people (allegedly) by killing them before he can kill them. That is in effect what we are doing.
A dictator whom we used to support. Also there is no evidence he gassed them. We only have extremely questionable statements made by the Triumvirate of War Lovers who are now killing hundreds more people.
I suggest you turn the BBC/Sky News off. That's free advice.
Fact is Russia was full of hot air/bluster and did nothing in direct response to the attacks.
And in doing so, answered the prayers of those who didn't trust their pathetic governments not to lose the plot, and hoped the adult in the room would not immediately retaliate.

The adult in the room? The one that in recent years decided to invade neighbouring countries (Georgia and Ukraine), shoot down a civilian airliner, conduct assassinations on UK soil with a radioactive isotope and more recently with a nerve agent and has now been actively supporting a regime while it massacres its own civilians including using chemical weapons.
Boris johnson is that you ?
People have died or been maimed no doubt, including civilians shelled by the terrorists which the west said nary a word about. That's a figure bandied about as propaganda, which you have no qualms parroting. What you don't care to mention is that the west did nothing, as they never do, as the Jihadis came in and took hostages and forced them to dig underground tunnels, and launched an offensive, and then when repelled and their ammo runs out, entered into talks with Assad, to get safe passage out of Douma, which Assad agreed to in order to minimize casualties among the hostages. A vast number of terrorists have been bused out to the north, where they are encountering trouble being allowed into towns controlled by Turkish allies because they are too fanatic even for them. The figure mentioned is 1300 Jihadis, but unlike you, I'm not going to claim that is true. There is plenty of video evidence of the evacuation of the terrorists, however. And Assad didn't gas them in the buses. Strange, for a monster.
