ISIL, ISIS, Daesh discussion thread.

Banned by the UK and many other countries (97 in total), Russia are not one of them (neither are America BTW).

Also this looks more like an MRLS like a TOS-1A than cluster bombs:

Yeah looks like an MLRS platform of some kind - there is evidence of cluster munitions used from a "smerch" system in Syria.

Amazing. I love how the US carefully search out key targets and use pinpoint accuracy to take them out while Russia just bombs everything with a beard.

Out of interest, what would you rather?

Exactly.

Of course, the people who are really involved in such things wouldn't be posting on a computer forum.

Yet here I am.

anyway I thought cluster bombs were banned? (I know this is Russia we are talking about)

How do you think the US so effectively destroyed Sadam medina division of the republican guard when they invaded iraq for the second time?

Cluster bombed to pieces, i recall a reported who travelled with a un armoured convoy the next day, saying they passed through a region of obliterated land, mixed with pieces of twisted metal occasionally and a stench of burnt flesh, but next to no corpses as they have been utterly obliterted.

Nice. So they might be banned, but no one really cares.

I believe not so many of them actually died (hence not so many corpses) - quite a lot of reports that after the first couple of attacks they simply parked their armour up where the US could see it and fled. (I believe they make up a good number of IS).

they are not banned, it's a self imposed ban from signing the charter?

I'm not surprised reports of this came out a year or so ago if memory serves right, also claims of turkey allowing the Daesh to cross the border along with the UN report of the Israeli Defense force giving medical do them.

I bet their is even more so called allys aiding them as well, but they just label them as "moderate rebels." ........*which defect to the Daesh later*

Just doing their duty as NATO members for Murka and the bankers while hoping to grab a bit more of the Ottoman Empire territory back in the shake up if Syria gets dismembered for the eratz Israel plan.

Impressive US/Kurdish special forces operation to free nearly 70 hostages from the Islamic State - we need more news stories like this. If it had been Russian special forces doing this operation, which I doubt they could tbh, people here and in the media would literally wetting themselves with excitement. However as the USA are involved the focus is on the one soldier who sadly lost his life.

Saudi national Guantanamo-bay inmate returns home...to Britain  Perhaps this is just as well as I heard the Islamic State were running short of a few troops these days after US airstrikes.

Yeah, I'd also like to know why this person is being allowed to enter Britain when he's not even a British citizen and why we're being saddled with the cost of keeping him monitored?

Lets ignore the fact the guy has been 'detained' at gitmo for the past 14 years WITHOUT TRIAL OR ANT CHARGES AGAINST HIM and not a single shred of evidence has been found or presented for his the US's claims against him.

Innocent until proven guilty - he's a well known charity worker and a huge amount of pressure has been applied by both charities and MP's here in the UK for his release.

But hey - lets not let scorza stop with his hatred - zomg de muslimz are invading us from gitmo.

Just like Jamal Al-Harith eh? It's hilarious putting his name into a newspaper's search engine and seeing the way they were fawning over him when he was released in 2011.

Thats the thing these day's. Somebody post a legitimate concern and you get neckbeards like this filling their nappies!

A good sign of somebody that loses a debate is when they turn to insults and ridicule.
