When i migrated across to AOL they put me on 512k instead of 1mb, but it didn't matter to me, as i was only on 512k for about a month before i got regraded to 1mb, so a month of 60k a sec was much better than the 10k a sec i was getting on Tiscali's 1mb. :D
I've seen you mention this before and I can't believe that you were with Tiscali for how long with speeds as low as 10 Kb, as that's only slightly faster than dial-up

and you should remember that migrating away from LLU is an almighty pain in the backside (generally you can get MAC keys, but most LLUers don't give them out, and some ISPs won't take them to migrate back to IPStream - it's all one big mess).
I'm thinking of migrating to LLU/ADSL2+ next year when my exchange is unbundled but what you highlighted in your above reply puts me off to be honest.

I should think that migrating between IPStream and LLU will eventually be resolved though won't it?

If I were you, I would shoot for BT without a second thoughts...having seen many problems with various small brand ISPs and also I won't touch 'uncapped' especially that they attract heavy downloaders and you might have problems.

Yes, BT costs more and yes, it is capped but it is reliable and you get what you pay for.
