Issue at School

go straight to the governors etc

people at my school got away with much much much more than breaking a laptop drive after there parents went to governors/council/local papers ! , think more along the lines of whole laptops going missing to be fair :p

I'll speak to my teachers when I get back about paying, because I really need to get into Sixth Form, and if £70-£80 is what i'll cost then I don't mind. Because the other 2 have no ambitions in life and Im not gonna let them ruin mine.-Matt

Well if thats your attitude i'd suggest preparing yourself for a life of being walked over if this is how easy you cave in.

In the real world with that attitude you'll be eaten alive.

Erm, he's 15. It's not like he can just tell the school how things are going to be and that's that.

The worst I ever did at school was try to explain to the IT teacher how to use antivirus as he hadn't installed any.

From that moment on, I got blamed for every little thing that went wrong with the network, even when I was off school ill.

In the end I had enough and complained to the head of year who called him up on his bullying and it stopped. The next term everything was great as we had a switched on IT teacher who really needed help sorting out the old system, which I gladly helped out with because he treated me like an adult, listened to what I had to say and made the best cups of tea.

Moral of the story is don't get pushed around otherwise you will be labelled as a soft touch and things will improve for you the sooner you do something aboput whatever is bothering you.

This is how schools work. You are living in the past mate.

What? Im calling shenanigans, not basking in the glory days. I believe the OP made this up, for what ever sad reason. Over the massive 2 posts he has contributed to this thread he started there are substantial flaws in his logic:

For one, laptop disk bay drives do not just 'fall out' when knocked as they are either latched or screwed into the unit. It is possible to damage the sliding tray when in the out position by applying a moderate force, however if the laptop was in use, the tray opens parallel to the surface leaving little residual area for movemnt. The OP also changes his story in the second post, from the drive unit falling out smashed to the boys throwing it out the window.

I dont know why people make up this kind of bs on forums, but for some reason some people do. its sad.

Well turned up at school to discover that I wasn't being blamed anymore. However I have to spend 1 day in SSU, where as the other 2 lads are spending 3 days and I don't have to pay anything either.

I went to speak with the deputy head and he said he'll make sure that this wont make any difference to me getting into Sixth form which is good.

Thanks,

Matt.

good result, nice to see the innocent actually found innocent!

So your not being made to pay because they think you are mental?!

You could start a new thread on that..
