Just how high is sexy? :p

When I mused over applying for an IT role at MI5 the pay was 21k which I would not call high for the location it is based in! Down south here though 21k is a high salary for IT support due to cheaper living costs.

Where you working mate, who for, if your in IT support I may know you or someone you work with/for, IT support in Bristol is a tight nit community for some reason :D
 
There are 8 of us (rarely all in the office though). We support around 600 staff.

I'm mainly a developer, but get involved when the phones are going crazy. I do the difficult stuff that support staff can't fix.
 
4 Offices with about 300 users spead across the lot.
about 60 homeworkers.

Most calls through our helpdesk, then I support them if required.
Daily office visits and requent hardware upgrades

Can be very busy.

Anywhere from £150 to upwards of £1100, per day. Average seems to be about £300-£350 for the big banks.
