He hasn't been cruising, just trying not to take life out the tyres on heavy fuel. If he could pull a gap he would, I doubt he wants Alonso that close come the pitstops.

Clearly not, this is Alonsos race come the pitstops I'm sure of it. As soon as Button pits Alonso will come alive. Alonso is a master of backing off a touch to maintain a gap but not destroy his tyres.

Buttons best chance is they pit together.
