Webber has got problems again
its Redbull team orders, gotta get Vettel ahead some how.
RBR would just be shooting themselves in the foot.
not much point in getting Vettel ahead if Hamilton gets even further ahead. RBR would just be shooting themselves in the foot.
Not necessarily.
From a commercial perspective (and we are talking money and income here...so its pretty damn important), it would not be good for Webber to finish the championship ahead of Webber, unless Webber wins the title.
RBR will definitely hope that Vettel finishes this year ahead of Webber...unless of course Webber wins the title, in which case, RBR's money men can work with that result.
Vettel has a much larger following in Germany, than Webber does in Australia. It is essential for RBR to get Vettel in front and tout him as the heir to MSc's throne. RBR will find it difficult to sell this tagline, if the heir to MSc's throne gets beaten by an average driver like Webber (no offence to Webber).
F1 fans must understand that F1 (just like any sport) relies heavily on income (sponsors), to continue to remain competitive. If the money dries up, then results on track, in the future, are likely to be effected.
Money/sponsors = very important and Vettel IS RBR's future.
Wonder if Dario would have ever cut the mustard in F1 he's certainly done the business in Indycars for plenty of years.
Guess he was too old by the time he was winning Indycar titles to make the switch.
Not necessarily.

yes, F1 is VERY commercial and sponser driven. Which is why you want the drivers world champion in your team. That is worth far more in worldwide revenue than boosting a single driver for one country's market.
