Italian Grand Prix 2014, Monza - Race 13/19

I dunno, I think Kimi is a fantastic driver when he has the car set-up just right. His biggest negative is that if anything is off he turns into a below average driver.

Hamilton's lap was immense, set's up an enticing start to tomorrows race. I think if Hamilton has no further reliability issues this season the championship is his to lose. Clearly a faster driver then Rosberg.

I've never really disliked Vettel. He's got a great sense of humour and even when he was winning, he's what I would call a likeable enemy. Rosberg on the other hand doesn't have much of a sense of humour and seems to have a bit of a nasty streak. I dislike him more.

Might as well have kept massa

Yes, they should have.
The problem is that because Massa was getting beaten so badly, they wanted to try someone else out.
As we have found out, the issue is not with the 2nd driver. The issue is that Alonso is "that" good. He will likely make virtually any driver look ordinary.

Over the last few years, Merc, RBR and McLaren are the teams who have produced the best cars in any given year. By rights, these are the teams who should be getting their pick of the best drivers.

Early prediction for tomorrow (exactly as qualifying):
1. Hamilton
2. Rosberg
3. Bottas

Statistically, the guy who gets pole at Monza is most likely to win the race (even more so than Monaco). So, its difficult to see anybody but Hamilton winning the race.

Strange this.
When Vettel was winning - he was disliked.
Now he is not winning - he is less disliked.

When Rosberg was not winning - he was liked. Go through old threads and you will see what I mean.
Now that he is winning - he is disliked.

I am beginning to sense a pattern here. ;)

Is Button winning? Nobody likes button

Can they just fire kimi again and free up a spot for a younger hungry driver? Might as well have kept massa

How long is his contract?
I dunno what it is about kr.. Does he just not really have his heart in it?
Does he just not have the ability?
Is Alonso that good?

I don't really warm to kimi like others. I don't like how he doesn't play the corporate game. If every driver was like him the 'funny' aspect of it would soon wear off

So many drivers he could be replaced with

And.. Lotus continue to fail. I feel sorry for RG. And almost PM.. Almost..
He must be so angry with himself for leaving.
That extra finance for Williams.. Who knows!

I think this is gonna be a dull race unless there is Mercedes self destruction
