I was a little surprised cars were out 3 minutes early even if it's cold and wet cars can still overheat. Are they thinking it might rain again heavily in a few minutes so they want a lap in as early as possible?

Most inters runners on new inters. Both Merc's on the same inters they used on Q1

Strange how so many starting Q2 on inters, given few times improved in Q1... And that was without inters losing heat sitting in the pit lane waiting to get the Q2 green light!

It's one of those things where when you do qualifying laps in drying conditions the wets start to heat up way too much, so it's not that wets wouldn't be faster, it's that their wets were burned up and if they go for wets again when the track meets being better for inters you get caught out so most people rolled the dice on inters rather than wets.
