Same as before, if it rains 4 mins in and the track is faster on wets for the first 2 mins but faster on inters for 2 mins before it dries then those on wets get caught out then the rain starts and times are done, it's just a gamble on which pays off best.
 
Wets are either already overhot or the crossover has happened, this is the risk. Wets just won't let you do a lot of laps so unless you're out there at the perfect time you lose out.

Bottas seemingly not blocking but backing up into Ham and not helping out there. Not sure why he keeps pulling out of these laps.
 
I only just realised that if Q3 didn't go ahead Q2 positions could matter a lot, completely ignored that possibility. Was wondering why they were still risking their cars in these conditions.

Van blows away Alonso by 7/10ths... opps. Stroll man, well, he was miles up on Massa till that final lap but still 4/10ths up on him. Considering that car is usually awful in the rain and stroll is usually behind Massa.... Stroll is also a rain master?

To be fair I think the gap was a lot closer than that, the conditions were improving and times coming down. I just think Vettel did his fast lap a couple mins earlier and then got comfortably beaten and didn't try to do a ultra fast lap at the end, maybe deemed it not worth the risk. I think he's a good half second down on Ham, but Ham put in a mighty lap at the end when Vettel didn't bother.
 
Max looks favourite for pole right now... well he did till he pulled out of that lap. If the track conditions get worse and worse, it will be hard for anyone to match him. Though I think Merc could be a second faster in the same conditions so it matters now how fast the conditions get worse.

WEll, excluding penalties but will be nice to see him get it.

Yep he's utterly hopeless. Has crashed or otherwise screwed up in half the races this year and, even when he hasn't, he's just slow. As I've said before, the unreliability he's suffered has actually worked to his advantage because it's disguising how useless he is.
