Its Coming - Ahsoka

Just started it and the wife and I are thinking Baylan sure reminds us of Titus Pullo. I remark maybe it's his brother until I checked IMDB. Gonna miss his acting :(.

They seemed to do their best to exposition dump for people who hadn't watch rebels so you at least got a feel for the reasons/setting/motivation.

Kind of feels KOTOR-y in terms of the mcguffin/setup, not complaining on that one if they can make it work.

Never watched Rebels etc is it better to watch the cartoon shows before this?

If so can someone could recommend the order of shows to watch please. Never watched it because it looks like a children's show. So preferably when it starts picking up? Thx
Season 6 and 7 of clone wars have major story arcs for Ashoka, but they'll be less meaningful and odd if you don't watch earlier seasons.

Then you'd need to watch all of Rebels as Ahsoka is in various episodes, but other main characters carry over into the Ahsoka show.

Honestly once you get your head past it being a "cartoon" (which I initially really struggled with) and just treat it a a Star Wars show then you easily forget it is an animated series.

The episodes are also only 20 minutes, so dead easy to either binge watch or just fit the odd one here or there.

Is this completely stand alone? I haven't watched any of the recent SW TV series spin-offs except for Mandalorian.
It does link into the Mandalorian a bit and to understand Ahsoka fully you'd needed to have watched The Clone Wars and some of Rebels. I haven't seen beyond season 1 of Rebels I think but have seen Clone Wars. Which is recommended BTW.

I watched the first episode last night, very good.

I’ve not watched rebels or the clone wars and it stands on its own fine IMO. There’s just enough introduction to get you where you need to be having not seen the others.
