Its Coming - Ahsoka

I did a bit of a double take when the witch started to go on about Dathomir and it was like  Thats not an older version of Merin from the games is it?

If i have one criticism about the Clone Wars is that there are story arcs that are not resolved on the show but in the movies. Two if them found particularly annoying is Dooku and General Grevious. They are the main antagonists (Apart from Palpatine) of the entire series and they both get dealt with in the movies without a mention in the shows and it breaks the continuity of the show in my opinion. Yes, you can just watch the movies but they are the eps 1-3 and a bit naff.

I'm sure I would, which is why I haven't bothered with it.

If enough people said it was a total change in direction for Disney star wars though, I might give it a try.

It's a bit hard to change direction of something that's a follow on from a previous series that had Female characters...

What do you need to watch before watching this? If any pre stuff is decent, happy to watch. Not got d+ but there are always offers floating around

Technically to be completely up to speed: Clone Wars Animated Series, Rebels Animated Series, Mandolorian S1/S2, Book of Boba Fett, Mandolorian S3

My wife got bored after 10 mins, I've carried on and I do like it but there is a flatness about it particuarly in the acting.
Glad i'm not the only one, i'm finding it a bit dull and slow at the moment and the story isn't really grabbing me. But it is only two episodes so hopefully it picks up.

I am enjoying the look and styling of it, very 70s/80s-esque rather than the usual grittiness of the other TV series.

I would add. Clones and rebels are a fair few episodes. If you're short for time you can follow various reddit "essentials" list. They highlight select arcs and episodes and will get you up to speed and cut the filler.

I think, based on 2 episodes so far, it's up there with the best SW that Disney has produced. It's also good to see Ray "Pullo" Stevenson playing a white male baddy (BOOOOO), it's a shame he's gone.

I really cannot understand the hate for female characters, or is that females in general? (I hope not), from some members of this forum. If I enjoy a TV series/film I don't care who's in it or what gender the main characters are.

I watched the first episode last night, very good.

I’ve not watched rebels or the clone wars and it stands on its own fine IMO. There’s just enough introduction to get you where you need to be having not seen the others.
Will have to disagree as there are some key interactions.

Baylan Skoll is a much more menacing and meaningful antagonist than Kylo Ren will ever be. Goes to show they had so much SW material to choose from and work with, yet KK, JJ and Rian ignored that and came up with that nonsense with the sequels. I guess KK needed to tick all the boxes and spring clean the franchise to her vision.

Shame Ray wont be back so wonder if they just replace another actor with him.
