Its December, its annual YOUR Game of the Year time !

Its not been as great a year for games as I thought it might be, part of that is that a lot of the games I was looking forward to got pushed into 2025.

Incidently, 2025 has the potential to be a right blinder of a year :

GTA6
Civ 7
Monster Hunter Wilds
Heroes Olden Era
Death Stranding 2
Doom the Dark Ages
Avowed
Kingdom Come Deliverance 2
Slay the Spire 2
Subnautica 2
Cuffbust
Broken Arrow
The Alters
Titan Quest 2
Roadcraft
Anno 117
Borderlands 4

If even half of those turn out good, its going to be a fun year :)
Anno 1800 is my most played game at 386 hours. Hopefully Anno 117 won't just be a reskin.

TBH, the only 2024 game I've put significant time into is Stellar Blade but that's not on PC yet so that's automatically "no game/nothing" for me.

It was really fun overall but I didn't play SH2 or Wukong and I have to leave them for 2025. I'm pretty sure one of those would've taken it otherwise.

In fact, I haven't played a single PC game this year, so yeah, definitely "no game/nothing for me".

How does 7 Days to Die count?
I know it got released formally this year but got a console release years ago.

Anyway, its a nothing from me. I would have voted for "The Finals" but this was late December 2023.

Is that the game where some weirdo was complaining that the outfit wasn't as skimpy as the Japanese version in the console thread?

You answered your own question there, it got counted because it got its full release this year as per rule #2 , what it did on console is irrelevant as this is the PC Gaming forum, for PC Games, not the PC and Console Gaming Forum for PC and Console games (which is also why titles like God of War and Horizon Dawn have appeared in previous years threads despite already coming out on console previously)

I guess I dont really count it as a PC release this year if it was already ported and released elsewhere.
If The Last Of Us remake number came out this year, I presume that would count?
Either way, was just surprised to see 7DTD, been playing it since 2014.

Yeah but you havent been playing the full release of 7DTD on PC since 2014 (as per rule #2), Ghost of Tsushima is a case in point, its on the list this year but came out 4 years ago on console. The key words in your post above is "PC release" , to count as a full "PC Release" , the only thing of note is when it released on PC, hence "PC release" and not just "release" Its all explained in the "Please Note" section of the yearly thread :)
