Whats that like to drive?
Is that engine Injected? Ours is a 1.6injected i think :)
Whats it sound like with a twin exhaust?

From that description it sounded like a supercharger conversion, imagine my dissapointment to find you'd just fitted a loud exhuast :p

I've not been allowed to drive it :( It's my dad's pride and joy! Even his wife hasn't driven it! ;)

But it does handle pretty well (for an Anglia), and being ~850kg it's a bit quicker than the original L series was ;) It's a carbed 1.8, too.

Quick video of him taking it out of garage few months ago (3gp file)

Turbo > Super ;)

And why'd you have to say 'loud exhuast'.

That makes me cry :( It's probably about as loud as your Longlife!

Will take the car out tonight to get some decent driveby footage.

With uzi's innit?

I have a hole in my exhaust back box about the size of a 10p coin and my fuel economy isn't all that great.

Aye, must be a massive improvment mate.

I found having a decent zorst just makes the car much more responsive.

Worth every penny imo.

That and the standard exhaust was harder to get off than the new one was to get on , i blame rover for that though :P

My dads celica has a scorpion exhaust, and my experience of that has told me they're pretty damn good exhausts, and fairly cheap for what they are too.

Standard exhausts are nearly always hard to get off, they tend to rust inside and bond together.

no problem, you monkey!
So when you fixing mine ;)

Mine does feel a little slow on pickup, ill see how much a new MAF is tomorrow from the stealers.... :( But the exhaust wont help either.

Took that stupid LED brake light off the back screen today which didnt even work, and removed both the stickers, theres actually some rear visibility now!

Well, I think I broke it :D It's blowing quite bad where the cat joins the downpipe. Need some exhaust paste pretty soon I think.

I think it was all of the 0-60 runs I was doing last night... must have dislodged it slightly.

Anyway, I did get some footage, quite a lot actually. Just got to sort through it after lunch and will get some up.

It sounds quite raspy on camera, probably due to the slight blowing at the cat. In real life, it really is nice and subtle.

What?

You don't like small videos, buy us all a decent DV camera each

I'm pretty sure we all upload videos to the best quality we have available tbh.

For which part?

I didn't think there was a gasket for the cat to downpipe. I just thought most people used exhaust paste.

That's what was on there before anyway. :)
