It's On! Floyd Mayweather - Conor McGregor **No discussions of illegal streams**

It’s just amazing how they’ve managed to sell this fight to people as vaguely competitive.

If you put some Irish domestic level boxer in against Mayweather no one in the world would expect him to have a prayer, McGregor is a lower level than an Irish domestic boxer!! Yet people think he can win.

De La Hoya, Hatton Pacquiao, Cotto, Alvarez multiple weight world champions who have boxed their whole lives couldn’t stick a decent glove on Floyd why does anyone think a guy who hasn’t boxed a pro round in his life magically has the answers??

The entertainment in this circus is between now and the first bell on Saturday, once the bell rings the emperor will be found out to have no clothes.

Completely agree. If Mayweather can perform at 60% of what he was capable of McGregor is getting pasted into next week for as long as he can hold out.

The only question is what level is Mayweather at now and how wide the gulf will be. After 2 years out of the ring and watching the training videos it clear Mayweather is well past it and Id say any of the top 20 147lbs fighters would beat him easy. McGregor on the other hand would struggle with a top club fighter that holds down a full time job. It really is a joke that this is regarded as a sanctioned professional fight and billed as some kind of epic fight. It's a clueless pleb fighting an old man.

De La Hoya couldn't lay a glove on him? That was a fairly close fight and Mayweather only won by a split decision.

Yeah the Dr La Hoya fight was a good match. Judah give Mayweather a lot of trouble and IMO Mayweather lost his first fight at 135 IIRC.

I seem to remember the DLH was a close UD win.

Could you share these training vids please? He looks alright in the vids I've seen.

Although I agree, Hatton did tag Mayweather several times in the early rounds.

Fair points! Guess I meant more they didn't have him in trouble more the fights were close affairs, no one has ever been really close to stopping him.

Hatton had success early but the ref wouldn't let him work on the inside and he ate to many shots getting inside each time. Maidana had success in the first fight as well.

McGregor isn't even 50% of any of these fighters!

what happened to billy big balls (McGregor)

stopped running his mouth in this conference

maybe its finally hitting him whats coming his way ;)

12 rounds of chasing someone around a ring?

As for billy big balls, i think you'll find both conducted themselves more professionally as the fight has already sold itself. Apparently you didn't watch too much of it to think it was only mcgregor changing his tune...

My only take away from this final press conference is how annoying it is when someone chews directly into the microphone and then constantly sucks up as much air as possible through his nose via the mic. (Connor)

Just for that I hope mayweather knocks him out :)

Hahaha! I know right! xD Most annoying thing about him.

That's just it though, all those are professional boxers, Mayweather could study them, knew what to expect and they knew what to expect so didn't take risks which they knew would result in being hit. With McGregor, no-one (probably not even himself) knows what to expect. Everyone expects him to be poor and get beaten with ease. In his mind, all he needs is one punch that connects well and he feels that will win it. I suspect deep down he knows he will be chasing shadows and therefore will be looking for that one punch. After all no-one expects him to win so he hasn't in his mind anything to lose.

He wants to finish it early, that is his only chance so I suspect he will go all out to try and do so. Mayweather might change his style to prove a point and try and shut the guy up, will that, with his age and rust leave a little gap? That's what Connor will be hoping for.

Connor has a lot of self belief, if he believes that Floyd doesn't have the punch power to knock him out he might just try and walk through him, rough him up to get close enough to get that lucky punch.

That's the appeal Connor has, its purely unknown.

12 rounds or chasing or gassing out and safe love taps until the ref gets bored. Regardless, Mcgregor is likely just thinking 'its sold now and the cheque is on the way to the bank, all i gotta do is turn up'

id lol if the ref just said after 5-6 rounds, you know what guys.. you keep missing.. and you keep running away, im calling it a NC cause im bored and i got some wings with my name on em

Indeed. A very controversial decision too!

I see Conor putting up the aggression for the early rounds then ultimately getting gassed in around 4 rounds then getting destroyed / stopped for not defending.
