You should get a proper computer then, it runs extremely fast and smooth on my G5 iMac. :D

EDIT: BTW, just browse to the album and click - it plays! /chuckles at the coolness. :)

i think the big Ipods 60gig + ones have gone down in price also , but not 100% sure as i never go to the apple website :P just wanted to see what the como was about

Aye, runs smooth on the Quad Core Mac Pro under my desk!

*pats Mac Pro*

Seriously though that doesn't sound right, newer drivers?

i want a gen 5 30gb ipod video and the iTV when it comes out :D

I'm seriously tempted for a new iPod (having had sold my last one to buy a camera lens) and am gonna see how much they are on educational discount!

Hmmm nothing too exciting realy but then I wasn't expecting anything other than movies to download and an ipod lineup rehash. I'm tempted by the 4gb nano and the free album art is nice, but gapless playback is something ipods should have had since day one.

i agree, gapless playback should have been standard a few gens ago. A few years ago i would never have thought about getting an ipod for my music player, there were loads of other better players out there, thinner, more and better features and better music quality. But now, due to the fact that i have a macbook and that the ipod is so nicely sync'd with itunes also with the ipod video being so thin and being able to play videos i am very tempted to buy one. My cousin is going to order a macbook soon and he should be ordering my new ipod video with it :D

no updates on mbp or macbook unfortunatly :(

Wasn't surprising really - the MacBook is still young and the MBP (and probably the MacBook) will recieve the next level to true 64bit with Intel's coming chipset (I forgot the name now... R...?) when Leopard is released.

They'll probably just update those when they feel like, much like with the new iMac and the Mac Mini updates. Stuff like that doesn't always get announced during keynotes.

I heard the reason why they didnt update the MBP is that there is a shortage of Core2Duos, so either they are waiting for an increase in production or something better, maybe 64 bit

yay they're going to make a proper media centre :)

looks well cool, was hoping they'd add the ability for digital tv onto frontrow tho so I could get a mac mini :)

The higher education store doesn't seem to discount the new Nanos. Uh, they're actually 1p more expensive on the HE store. What gives? :(

Just finished watching the keynote :)

While watching the iTV (I'll bet Elgato are chuffed with that name), all I could think was "this better be cheaper than a Mac Mini." I've a friend who's been considering a Mini for his living room since the day it came out (well, since it was updated with Front Row, at least), I shall be mentioning this to him tomorrow. It certainly looks like a good bit of kit, but the weakest link...

640x480 downloads? It's an improvement, but, still, not worth paying for. Give us 720p, thankee very much.

The new Nano's are lovely :) I'd have a pink, blue, or black one without a second thought. If I needed one.

80Gig iPod is calling out to me :D Must... resist...

I'm liking iTunes 7. The album art view is super slick, even on my aging 9600pro, just need to go through it once to pick up all of the art.

It all looks great, but I am concerned that movies, like TV shows, will be U.S. only? If so, complete waste of time for those of us in the U.K?

I really love my iPod nano but do I upgrade to the 8GB nano or the 30GB iPod video, the're the same price, so hard to decide.

Wow, great show, still to watch the video footage but was on macrumourslive.com at the time.

Good to see the iPods are now up to 80GB, my 60GB is getting a bit full :p
Not to bothered about the Nano's, it's nice how there back to the old mini way though.
Really liking the new Shuffle, it's tiny!

I downloaded the new iTunes straight after the show was over and am really impressed, the blue icon will take some getting used to but i'm liking it ... the CoverFlow feature is superb, I prefer the middle option though where you can see each album with its cover art, fantastic improvement! I new the movies, like the tv shows weren't going to be available in the UK quite yet but i wouldn't be using them anyway. Oh, and when you go to sync your iPod there is a really nice screen that appears stats on how much space your using an a few other useful things. I haven't managed to get the automatic album art feature working yet though.

Can't wait to see the video footage to get a glimpse of this iTV thing ... I won't be buying one until I move out but my dad certainly will be, what a great device. I think it'll be a great feature (if they integrate it) to have sky plus built into an Apple device, and then being able to watch whatever you record on your iPod so you can then watch it in work, on the train etc etc. I guess the plan though is to be able to download movies from iTunes and watch them on your TV.
