I miss the old days, called me a old git, I dont care. I love it. Miss it. Perhaps its all to do with Global Warming then ?

PS: everyone moans when we get a little bit of snow like this, For gods sake this is nothing. Years ago we had real snow....Deep snow...

Now a light dusting on the roads and all the people including local councils panic.......

I know what you mean, earlier I was recalling a time when I was a teenager and my friend and I were out 'courting' with two young ladies (they weren't no ladies I can tell ya :D ). Anyway, I remembered that we taken them to the cinema and bought a bag of chips for the romantic walk home through the snow. As we walked across a playing field (remember those) the snow was up to our knees!

Ah, the good old days before global warming.

Had about an inch of the stuff down hear in east kent.

Question, why is it that some people (most of them female) decide not to clear their windows when they go driving in the car. Oh look i will just use the wipers to clear the windows. Retards!

Loads of snow at home, just as I left my house for work my mate phoned me up and said 'happy snow day, wanna go sledding', lucky bugger took the day off but I have to be in work today got important stuff to do :(

I tried going out in my car to go to work this morning. After spending 25 mins at 5mph traveling sideways I decided I didn't want to die and turned around. No work for me today!

2 ton car + 3.2l engine + rear wheel drive + wide tyres = deathtrap in snow

The Royal Mail van didn't seem phased. He was driving down normally and even chatting on the phone at the same time. :p:eek:

I discovered a switch on my dashboard denoted ECT SNOW, never used it before but I had a go with it. It seemed to help me force my way through the half an inch drifts. :D

Just spoke to my mum as we work in the same place she isnt coming to work.. she managed to spin her MG TF out about 1/2 a mile from home...

Just a bit of snow and it all goes pear shaped!
Anyone else understaffed at work? we're getting RTCs left right and centre from across the country!

Had loads in Brentwood, dads range rover was wheelspinning all over the place, and sliding :D

In work in London now and its still snowing heavily.

Snowing quite heavy in Hinckley and Nuneaton. Drive to work was uneventful thankfully although a lad at work managed to smash the gate post at the entrance to the carpark as he was going too fast and couldn't stop

I think there are only about 3 schools that are open in my area, my mum's school one of them :D to say she annoyed is an understatement

It's ridiculous - a dusting of snow and loads of people use it as an excuse to have a day off work
I live 30 miles away from my place of work and managed to get into work early, as did a chap sitting behind me. Another guy walked the 4 miles from his house to work.

One of my colleagues who live 3 miles away and owns a 4x4 truck phones in to say they won't be coming into work due to the 2 inches of snow.

The snow was forecast well in advance so people had plenty of time to sort plans to get into work.
