Whoa that's pretty lethal! :p A house across the road from me has loads of icicles - I look out my window... I have one tiny little icicle staring me in the face :p :(

This is a image from yesterday from a Nasa satellite :

It looks like the BNP finally got there wish!

I can't quite figure out how the whole UK is white but that little bit of Ireland you can see is green..

Just had a flurry here in Islington, not that much, but has now made the roads even more lethal!

We have a bit of a down pour this morning in Chelmsford and are scheduled another from 3pm onwards according to the MetOffice.

Further heavy snow showers will feed in from the North Sea this afternoon with further accumulations of 2 to 5 cm generally with locally up to 10 cm. The snow will start drifting in a freshening northeasterly wind.

The public are advised to take extra care and refer to the Highways Agency for further advice regarding traffic disruption on motorways and trunk roads.

Snow will not melt.

Beer jacket > current snow. Trekked half a mile this morning at 4:00am wearing just a long sleeved t-shirt. :/

Great way to make yourself ill. :p

Edit: 2 electric space heaters in my flat are currently inflating my electricity bill but not imparting any detectable warmth. It's still bloody freezing! :(

Surprisingly it isn't that cold today - I'd say mild at worst (down here anyway). I only had three layers on when I went down the town: a t-shirt, a jumper, and a coat which wasn't even zipped up - pretty much the same apparel I've been wearing for the last couple of months. I've definitely been colder on rainy days or days with just a chilly breeze. I actually got hot walking up the hill home...

i've never seen snow like this in 32 years, it's about 10" deep now and still relentlessly coming down, part of me is starting to get peed off with it, but the kid in me is loving it, pics tomorrow when it's lighter and maybe deeper :D

I went out today with just a tea shirt and jumper on, even though it's below freezing in the sun it feels quite warm.

Last year we felt cold all winter but this year I've not felt cold once, even my mother who's nearly 80 isn't feeling cold.

I think wind and damp have more of an effect feeling the cold.

Same, there are absoloutely huge drifts on my street about 3-4foot tall and It's just coming down relentlessly

It's insanity!

Lol. Went to my G/F work and the back yard was covered in 3" deep virgin snow.

I couldn't help myself. Its now covered in footprints, by me running around do the Homeresque whooping noise. :D

I might be 28, but snow brings out the 6 year old in me!
