Our council ran out of grit on Monday
And I work for the council - not be it with the gritters mind.s
Mate on another forum works for the local council and he has confirmed they have ran out.
Also he said they have been going out when its rainign as they have been in fear of it freezing so it will have all been wasted.

Im down in the lowlands/ Central belt and yeah we get snow and stuff but I always say im more suited to the Highlands.
i want to retire and have some little cottage up north with no one arround so when you get snowed in you realy get stuck.
They have snow gates and snow markers up the highlands i would love to see them come into play

well snow hasnt cleared since I Made this topic. its about 3" of ice and snow ontop. we are due more too. I went ant cleared the small area infront of my garage had to use a spade to break the ice then shovel it up.

My dog gets those little balls of snow on his fur. he is also a springer spaniel. he rolls about in it on his back then gets up and has them all over his back.

Everyone appears to have loads of snow. we had say about 25mm over night, its not fair.
We have our met office forecast for up to sunday and no snow

You reminded me of my old regional director.
He was harping on about needing winter Tires for the snow and how he had just fitted them to his Merc.
He was the kind that you knew played cricket and probably had a small yacht to drink pimms on.
No one would speak out to this guy, so when he came out with that i couldnt help but say you did not. I bet you toddled off down to Kwik fit didnt you old chap.
