the reason sky stops working is simple, the clouds and snow fall is so dense that the signals have trouble getting to the dish, also the build up of snow on the dish itself can cause interuption, quite simple really.

its only a short journey from the motorways to my desitination, and all pretty level.

We always check the motorway traffic cameras before making these type of journeys, has saved us a few times in the past.

Hey thanks for that, what a great little website. will check it before I plan on leaving tomorrow. I did find the BBC jamcam things but this site is much easier to use.

started lying on the A1 when i was pelting it down at aroun 5 o clock in sunderland. usualy idiots in 4x4's were out doing their thing.

The motorways should be fine, if your going on the AAA and onto Manchester road I dont think you will have much trouble, but the surrounding roads are very messy, and all cark parks are pretty much undriveable.
