It's snowing

Been snowing on and off in Kent since I got up at 6. Had everything, heavy, light, hail, and it seems to be a good few inches deep now.

Local council have pretty much run out of grit too, most of the main roads are gritted but the high street and most residential areas aren't.

Anyone know why kent always gets the most show in the south east? I can never work that one out every year.

I think its something to do with the fact that it is relatively close to the sea. Air currents and stuff, someone else might know more!

That is nearly up to my Conservatory window. - for reference, that clothes dryer is just shy of 6ft high.

All around that chair (including the chair) was cleared of snow on Thursday night. Now it's 15" deep.

Roof is over 2ft deep of snow (it's a flat roof)

Depth of snow that the area had been cleared the day before - it's deeper further out in that shot (that snow had been broken up ready for scooping).

Just shows the difference in temperature here (Herts) and up north. Our pond isn't even fully frozen over!

Typical, Kent is apparently going to steal all our snow again! Why does Kent always get so much snow compared to the rest of the eastern coast!?

West side is the best.;)

We got 7 inches here so far and up to another 8 inches is forecast throughout this afternoon / evening in my area. :)

Looks likely that Sunday will be horrible, any more snow round here and we are going to have problems.

Cleared the drive today as best as, piled snow into 2 foot piles in one corner but there is still a good half inch or so compact frozen snow and ice and I can't shift.

Right, just had a play with paint! :p

From looking at rain today and the BBC the snow seems to have pretty much constantly fallen in the red areas for the last week and hardly touched the other areas?

Annoyingly I live around half an hours train north of london so all the snow keeps missing us... :(
