its too cold

Cooler is better for me. The heat is bad for my MS.

Can't really remember the last time we had a proper winter. When I was a kid our house didn't have any central heating so in the winter my bedroom windows used to freeze up on the inside. We seemed to have much harder winters back in the 70s and 80s.

I just looked back through my photos of "EPIC SNOW!!!!!" and noticed a decline in snowfall each year :/

We have had no actual snow on the South Coast since then.

Snowy McSnowface, you will re-live again, I'm sure :(

-10 or below through -5: Better put the heating on
-5 through 0: Considering putting the heating on or at least put on a jumper.
0 - 5: Don't waste your money on heating, get a jumper.
5+: Tropical.

My heating is included in the rent and been on 3 weeks already.. This is the first year I'm properly prepared for an Arctic winter . Lol.

had my first ice scrape the other morning and had heating on afew times but oil heating is great as you feel totaly in control ,just shine my torch in (gauge broke) and be carefull if you dont want to pay for a fill up (500 litres does me most of a year 30p ish ltr not sure now)

Lovely and warm inside with the central heating on, but outside is another matter. I'm already at the point where if I don't need to leave the house I won't. Especially if it's raining. I'd have been loving my evening walks during summer too. :(

Another 6 months of this.....
And I have 6 months of working outside from 7am till 6pm 5 1/2 days per week in this cold/wet/dark weather :(

Well it had to happen at some point, but I'm already feeling down about it as I type...

First time catching the bus into work for a few months, instead of cycle commuting. It's freezing outside compared to Tuesday, being on a warm bus with free wi-fi is nice, but I can't help but wonder if I would soon warm up chasing Strava segment times!

Today could be the first day of many for a few months, I guess it's hitting me more because I've lost ~10Kg over the summer, the lightest and fittest I've been in a few years. No cycling commutes means ~700 Calories that aren't being burnt every work day.

Loving life now it's colder, my favourite time of year. No hayfever, able to sleep amazing every night with the window open, lovely thick 7 tog duvet on the bed, pc is always lovely and cool, can wear nice thick jumpers, can snuggle up in sofa with a big blanket, can cook lovely hearty meals. I love it.
