It's too hot :(

It's only used where the cost of transporting fresh water makes the monumental energy cost of desalination worthwhile. Something like 4kWh per m3?

It's much more cost effective to treat wastewater than to desalinate.

But as with everything, there are new techs being developed which hope to make the process much more efficient. Stuff that's waaaaay over my head :p
Most of those countries listed have a huge potential for solar energy, which makes Desalination quite effective.

Just laid out in sun for hour and a half in boxers, haven't done that in maybe 20 years. Dreaming of all the vitamin D goodness. Starting to feel it now, will be like a lobster.

The best summer I can remember was 1995 for length or warm/hot sun for weeks. 2003 was also good but more for extreme high temperature rather than longevity

Wasn't it 95 when the roads melted?

I am sure I remember sitting in the road picking out the tar and rolling it into balls, lol, and sticking stones in it.

Had my afternoon meetings cancelled so opted to sit by the pool instead. It's 38 degrees and lovely. Here in Dubai.

:D

People don't care though got to look that nice shade of red. I've got suncream on constantly at the minute even just to keep the sun off my arms in the car.

I know an oncology nurse and she is forever warning people to be careful about sun exposure and in particular she despairs about people that happily stay in the sun until they go red/get burnt. Oh, and definitely check your moles (if you have any).

Well I did think about these things but so rare getting sun that I just tried it out. If nothing else it's very relaxing and dreamy, deep relax and listen to the planes whistling in the sky.

So your saying there are no benefits of sun to skin just cancer. Certainly I feel energised in some form.
