It's too hot :(

I thought I look up air conditioning chairs... I was very disappointed with what I found. I was hoping to find some type of chair with a fridge stuck to the back to it and then dream about it since it would have a insane price tag. :(

Quite cool here today, 13c at the mo. Talking to a friend of mine this week who works in Iraq, high of 45c in Basra the other day. Heat like that would probably kill me.

It's not too bad. Can close the curtains to keep the direct sunlight out. I find it helps. Also keep all doors open in the house, let the air circulate a bit.

Indeed. Although it felt pretty hot! I was absolutely baking outside today. Although I was in jeans :p

It's not time to dig the aircon unit out yet though.

Temps creeping towards the 60's today not quite there yet

Warmest place i have been is North Cyprus got to 58c in Salamis.

Are you sure? You mean 38c surely? Hottest temp ever recorded in Europe is 10 degrees less than that at 48c in 1977

Anyhoo, its not that actual temperature that you should look at. Its the 'feels like' temp with the humidity factor included. Dry heat doesn't feel half as bad as the same temp with 85%+ humidity

Im still rugged up at 23 degrees! Only in the dry season will the temp drop below 20 overnight in Darwin. I love the heat even though you do sweat your ring off for most of the day.

oh how quickly you guys forget the real south heatwave last year, 6 weeks of 28c+ and it was hotter at nighr. it's 20c here, just right :)

I think it got all the way up to 6c today, wind was bitter though.

Didn't stop the start of tourist season though. :(

Always a bit of a difference between an officially recorded temps and what someone might measure somewhat more casually - the summer I started where I'm working now at its peak the outdoor temps were showing 42C whereas the official record was 36.5C.

One of those weeks was horrendous as I was working on the top floor under a large south facing roof with completely inadequate aircon (think it was actually blocking air movement) where the internal temperatures were over 50C not to mention fairly humid.

Reminds me of when I worked at currys years ago and over a snowy winter the heating broke and was stuck on full blast. 35C inside and 2C outside. People were walking I with big jackets on while we were sweating away in shirtsleaves!

This weather is about as hot as I could like it with about 19-23C. Anything more than that and I'm useless.
