It's too hot :(

Not one to normally post in here but this weather is just torture for me. I can't sleep, sweating everywhere and can hardly work as my laptop keeps over heating.

I can’t stand it either. I keep waking up which makes me feel groggy when in the mornings and my flat ie boiling. Up to 25 degrees is ok for me generally.

I was so relieved when this dumped a hot wet load on me.

Still hot and damp though :( Hopefully will cool overnight. Humidity will reach 95% in Southampton.

Dropped to 24 degrees with lots of rain but I still need the fan blowing and the dehumidifier on full blast. I honestly cannot remember any summers as brutal as this one has been.

So much for the thunderstorms that just keep getting pushed back and back. It just shows that with climate change the models have no idea.
Not sure it's got anything to do with climate change, Meteorology has always been guess work.

I however can control the weather. If I had done my washing today it would've rained 5 minutes after I put my clothes out, I didn't so it's been hot and dry all day despite horrific weather forecasts.

This is a support thread for those of us whose mammal genes only remember the last ice age, not those whose primitive lizard brain is still in charge, relishing the swampy conditions of a muggy 25+ sweatfest. Welcome!

Here within spitting distance (usually spitting with rain) of the Peak District it's been gloriously overcast today, with a wonderful cooling wind and only occasional stretches of sun to remind us what it was like yesterday. It feels like a good day to be alive... and to harvest some tomatoes. A few more days and the manageable trickle of unexpectedly good fruit from the greenhouse is going to turn into an unmanageable sauce and picklefest. But that's a good problem to have even if my sweet peppers appear to be going nowhere except into the stomach of something that keeps making holes in the leaves. I've got little flowers, but no sign of fruiting yet.

But at least temps today mean I have the energy to try and debug (I'm here all week, folks!) that problem. Earlier in the week I felt like my brain had kicked into survival mode, underclocking and undervolting my power supply until I ran cooler but couldn't raise the energy or motivation to do anything except exist.

Come out to the coast. Cromer and Sheringham have been misty and cold today. Had a jumper on at one point.
