It's too hot :(

30c in bedroom right now. It is beyond ridiculous. Fans are just blowing hot air around. Should have air con by end of the week. I really cannot wait. I'm gonna just stay up and watch the 1992 Royal Rumble on YouTube for now lol.
 
See an high heat warning has come in for NI, so don't worry lads won't need to worry about what to do with NI and Brexit and all. We will all be dead.

My bedroom reached 30.5C at some point last night (I have a meter that measures humidity and temperature and remembers maximums and minimums). But I'm not currently sleeping in my bedroom. I'm sleeping in my living room downstairs, which is much cooler. I dug out an inflatable camping mattress and put that on the floor. Not as good as a bed normally, but better than a bed in a 30C room. That might be useful for you too, depending on your home.

Fans always just blow air around without changing the temperature. Strictly speaking they increase the temperature slightly because the electric motor will generate a small amount of heat, but that's not enough to notice. They work by convection, which still works at 30C. Best bet is to get some or all of your clothes off and have the fan pointing directly at bare skin.
 
I've been able to sleep comfortably just having a small fan pointed across my bed - in fact when I woke up yesterday I didn't even realise how warm my room was until I stood up out of bed.
 
Today it got down to 27.3.

Even though only 2C lower, the last several hours as a whole have felt more pleasant than yesterday although its still uncomfortable.
 
Looks like a scorcher today and tomorrow has been upgraded on the forecast to sun most of the day - was originally just a few hours of sunshine in the morning then cloudy and cooling.
 
Toughest night of the heatwave so far, and still got at least two more to come. Ugh.

Going to get fitter in the autumm. Definitely mean it this time.
 
10 day forecast is showing a week of rain from Saturday, still around the 20 degree mark.

I think i'll go and stand out in the first rain storm we get.
