It's too hot :(

Pretty crazy thunderstorm and torrential rain where I was working - had one strike about 50m away which was crazy and made the ground shake. 2 other close strikes had the power cut out for a moment.

Apparently some of the roads in town were flooded badly but it had all gone down really by the time I left work.

So, when TF is summer going to start!?!

Persisting down with rain, cold, having to put the leccy blanket on...FFS, it's June!!!

Wasn't like this when I was a young'n :(

Looks like from about the 16th it should get warm though we just miss out on very warm - beyond that outside the scope of current models. Until then though looks like cooler, wetter weather will be the story between periods of very meh, possibly muggy, nothingness.

Disappointing non-event of a storm last night. A few spots of rain and that was about it. Boo!

Not aware of any thunder hitting here, there was one or two strikes in New Forest, plenty going on near Bournemouth and Hastings... But then I didn't hear the alarm go off just over an hour ago!

Very dubious of the massive forecast change for today, it was forecast to be wet all day, the road outside is a tiny bit damp but expected to be dry until 1500ish now... If I stay in it will probably stay dry, if I go out on the road bike the heavens will open.;)

Well, I'm on the top (4th) floor of our block and I get the sun from around 8am- Noon. Last summer I moved here at the end of June and I cannot describe how hot it was in my room on a daily basis. So, in the last few weeks when we had that little warm spell I bought some UV film for my window and an air-con unit from Amazon. Needless to say, it's been ******* cold since I bought them, obviously.

Thanks for taking one for the team.

I love the summer, don't get me wrong, but this country has been unbearable during the last few years when we've had this prolonged 30c and more. I enjoy 20c to 25c with a few days of rain here and there to wash away the pollen, help the gardens etc. But it's hell sleeping, working, dealing with hayfever when temps soar into the high 20s to mid 30s.
