It's too hot :(

looks a great week ,haven't been down to Newquay for a few weeks ,not sure if you know Polly joke beach but its my favourite ,still a free car park but the terrible road to it has been resurfaced ,the quarter of a mile walk (lovely walk) keeps visitor levels down you can always find a private nook there i just love it and a nice walk to Holywell bay
Also an oat milk latte on Newquay's millionaires row ,fern pit cafe tr71pj ,looks over Cantock beach with the outdoor tables nestled into the hill side (Iit has a car park but theres also a little free car park on Gannel road where the boats are moored is an awesome place to walk down the Gannel ,and foootbridge across to Crantock at mid to low tides
you probably know all this but i like to bang on about Cornwall
We're planning on going to Hollywell Bay, had no idea of the other bits, thank you will take a look. :)

Lovely day today. Is it really summer?
Good day on the MTB. Found some new trails made by other bikers down a mountain. Lovely day with a few cuts and bruises!

I love the summer, don't get me wrong, but this country has been unbearable during the last few years when we've had this prolonged 30c and more. I enjoy 20c to 25c with a few days of rain here and there to wash away the pollen, help the gardens etc. But it's hell sleeping, working, dealing with hayfever when temps soar into the high 20s to mid 30s.

Is it dry or wet heat?

Cause I've experienced both and I can safely say 25c with high humidity is much worse than 35c and it's dry.

Where I am summers are high 20s to mid 30s and some days the humidity sits at 90% and on those days it's unbearable - hard to breath, sweat doesn't evaporate and fans hardly help

I came across this meme last night and I just cracked up laughing!!

That's ok. You can do the over dramatic moaning ninny-ing in the Winter time.

:p
It's a really British thing I've noticed, it's either too hot, too cold, too wet or whatever. Whenever I go back home to the Med the weather is never spoken about because it's sunny and warm all the time! :D

In the UK it really doesn't get that hot or that cold. It's just seasonal - which isn't a bad thing.

Thats because the UK weather is generally just **** no matter what the temperature.

In the winter its cold and damp and overcast 90% of the time and then when Summer gets going its hot, sweaty and oppressive. Best times of year by a country mile in the UK are spring and autumn because they are warm enough, sunny but not muggy.

That's the problem - we get so many spikes in weather, cold, hot, wet, dry, that you never really get used to anything. Everything feels a big jump from the norm and it becomes uncomfortable.

Fair point. Taking kids out in spring and autumn is always interesting.... So much gear to take "just in case!".

I must admit the damp and the humidity are parts of the seasons that I really don't like. I think winter could be called dreary which is not fun though. It is nice having clear sunny crisp cold wintry days but as you say they're not always like that. Similar to the summer, it's not always a hot with nice breeze. It's often humid and unpleasant to a certain degree.

Friday is showing as 31c on BBC weather. Anyone got a spare freezer I can live in?

Wow. That's hot! I really hope it's nice on Thursday. Plan to be on the water from 6-10pm if conditions are good!

If it's this hot ill be in the water too!

Its now showing as extending into saturday as well here. By the end of the week it'll probably be sunday, then monday, tuesday...

once this weather starts it usually establishes a pattern

My car has a utility/camping mode. Think I'll be sleeping in that overnight with the climate set to 19C :D

Mines got aircon but can't afford the petrol to leave it running all night!
