It's too hot :(

Everybody surely owns a bucket/pail or basin.
I don't own a sofa either :D
the only things in my living room are pc stuff and bikes lmfao.

I've just been buying stuff as I need it since I moved in over a year ago

I haven't needed a bucket bizarrely enough I do however own a mop and car sponge

Is the weather set to cool down? I'm flying out to the UK tomorrow, and i'm coming from the v.hot climate of SW Florida.. so kinda looking forward to it being cooler than what I'm used too.. however everything here is air conditioned, and NOTHING over in Blighty is.. So at least we get to escape from it whereever we go..

In be in the London area for a few days, then head up to the midlands.

Direct sun temp :)

Tomorrow is gonna be hot again but the forecast is for it to be cloudy and cooler after that.

A mop isn't much use without something to mop from :D

lol I just pour disinfectant on the floor of the kitchen and bathroom and mop clean.

the mop head absorb virtually all of the water and then I just stick a tea towel below my foot and move it around to dry any remaining moisture.

unscrew the mop head and stick it in the washing machine with any tea towels etc

No need for a bucket so didn't buy one yet :D

I've actually got enough money in the bank to buy all the furniture you would see in an ordinary house but if I wouldn't use it then it seems like a waste of time, money and space.

My neighbours probably think my house is awesome inside because I live in a crap area but own a bicycle that cost more than half the cars in the parking lot out back and I have fairly expensive trainers and tshirts that would likely cost a full giro but I live a very simple life and the only gadgets I care about is keeping my pc up to spec

My grandad was in the navy. When my grandmother was ill I would pop round and do cleaning for them. I walked into the kitchen to find him with the mop and bucket, using the mop to wipe down the front of the over head cabinets. The man hadn't done any cleaning in decades since he'd been on the ships. And then there he is swabbing the kitchen like it's the HMS Belfast.

I too am guilty of cleaning the doors and draws of my kitchen units with a mop although I have never worked on a ship it just seems easier than bending down with a tea towel.

I actually did a wall to once to get some hand marks off it :D

It's turned out a weird day. We had 29C in the afternoon but with a nice breeze. Now it's still warm but the skies are grey, i live at the end of a long road and the local newsagent is at the end, it's maybe 3/4 mile. At my end it's fine but at their end it's completely coated by mist, the beach maybe 50 yards in front of them it's raining... but not at the shop lol. Kinda weird to look at it raining in front of you when you are dry.

Funny now all the bikers out racing. All you hear is racing through the gears away in the distance constantly.

What are the temps going down to at night ? I don't care about it being hot during the day... its at night where its a pain.. (not in the UK hence asking)

Round my way it stays around 20-22C at 11pm, drops to 18ish by dawn.

Mercifully the breeze has picked up today, filling my house with lovely fresh, cool air.
