It has been erratic here - with rain/wind/thunder but seems to have gone back to muggy now

despite a bit of cooling wind for awhile.

We've dropped almost 10ºC since the peak but my home office is creeping past 29ºC even though outside is 28ºC

I've lost track of how much water I've drank over the past two days. Was horrible earlier on the bike though, I filled both my water bottles up early this morning and stuck them in the fridge, and still by the time I'd done less than a couple of miles the water in the one on my frame was hot. Well, warmer than tepid rather than hot.

Two chillers at work need regassing. Also removed the contents of chillers touching them just in case they overheat. Two other supermarkets in the area have broken down chillers and/or freezers.

Most customers were understanding. One moaned about not having pork chops tonight. He’s one of those who have pork chops every Tuesday. Even the man behind him told him to grow up.

No idea how this customer coped when we had selfish shelf stripping in March 2020

Can't you do the old fill half with water turn on its side and freeze?
