It's too hot :(

So I had been managing my daughters room by blasting the AC, then removing it before bed - putting her to sleep with wet hair, then opening the door at 2230ish.

Today was just insane in her room, so she has full AC. The smug little Mrs is sleeping soundly the second I put her down. It'll be torture tonight, and out early for the office tomorrow. Dreading it!

Edit: I've left it with no context to see the Imgur folk rage, but both 'stats are in the same room. The one labelled Nursery is the rad 'stat though, so is currently buried in black out blankets and next to the AC exhaust.

Your office not got air con? I've been in a Luton truck all day with no air con. Driving in London and Kent. Feel my pain! Had a cold bath and cooled down but stepped out and dried almost instantly, now I'm relaxing with 3 fans blowing and ice packs, which are melting in minutes.
Bought 3 calippos today as well, I got about 1/4 through each of them and they were slushy/melted. Drunk so much fluids and only been for a slash twice..

What a day!!

Are those thermostat valves any good? Any special adaptations to install them at all and which are you using, hives own I assume? :D

Yeah but I hypothesised only nutters were train'ing into the office. I'm only 50 mins door-to-door but didn't fancy the cancellation bingo on the way home. Plus my little one was home; child minder shut shop for 2 days.

Edit: ah you mean tomorrow, yes presumably so - but dreading the commute into central London.

Think this may have been for me - they are a godsend for the rooms you really care about. You'll note most have ran out of battery as fine tuning them was irrelevant - the main thermostat brought the house up pretty uniformly. The only one I therefore care about is baby (if room dropped below 19 I'd turn the heating on).

They are great though. Just screw on, providing you've already got thermostatic valves.

Opps I hadn't noticed it was a quoted post! But yeah I already have the adjustable ones, my heating system is totally out of sync though and bedrooms get far hotter faster than downstairs, I generally don't adjust them that much but this seems like a fantastic way to direct the heat downstairs instead. I might give them a shot if they work well then!

Yeah they'll 100% work for that use case. However you may do better getting a plumber in to balance the system (or attempt it yourself).

I have the Hive kit, which I swear by. The Tado stuff also gets good reviews on here. Search will bring up plenty of threads.
