Yeah they'll 100% work for that use case. However you may do better getting a plumber in to balance the system (or attempt it yourself).

I have the Hive kit, which I swear by. The Tado stuff also gets good reviews on here. Search will bring up plenty of threads.

I already have the Hive wireless thermostat which has been really fantastic (and fairly easy to install), but these seem like a great option. Balancing the system has been on the todo list for years

I wonder if it was some smoke drifting over from the Wembley fire. I’m about 4 miles from there so probably something a bit closer. Heard lots of sirens and it’s fainter than it was. Not seen any smoke but the sky is still a bit dark from the clouds.
